Tapu Beach
A nice freedom camping close to the main road. You can stay overnight in self contained vehicle between the arrows, like everywhere in Coromandel. Quite some spots and you can have a great view. A nice place to swim. Public toilet opened 24h a short walk from there. I enjoyed but wouldn't stay more than 1 night

Free camp on the beach. Beautiful for swimming and walking. Some crystals found on beach.

Incredible freedom camping spot. Right on the beach. Toilets and general store nearby. Perfect spot for a dip in the summer and a few renegade tree swings. 10/10.

It was a good, quiet place to stay for the evening. The beach is a little rocky but not bad. Lots of people kayaking and paddle boarding in the area. Beautiful sunset, at least the night we were there.

Favourite overnight spot during summer, when the tides in its a good swimming and walking area, shirt stroll down to the local pub, chip shop & public loos. keep your pooches secure on leads at all times as its also a shore bird nesting area
