University of Auckland Quad

Long wait and over priced.

The quad has changed so much and is still evolving (especially since when I was a student) but looking forward to seeing it at its full potential once the surrounding projects are complete. It's still a sheltered space for staff, students and members of the public to enjoy food, pop into the campus store or just soak up the general campus atmosphere.Some new eateries: Nick's Kitchen, The Bowl (featured below) sells donburi bowls for $15.00 each. I had the karage chicken bowl and it was served to me (take away only) speedily but the chicken lacked seasoning so it was quite bland. Great texture (crunch for days) but just very bland in taste even with the sauces. Friendly staff and location is good too. Conscious Eats (in the spot where Jewel of India used to be) is super cheap with the daily special for $7.90c which includes an appetiser, main, salad and dessert. I'm not vegan at all but I did enjoy the vegan spin on a Mexican staple and the vegan nuggets". I would go back for sure and their samosa ($4.00) is great portion wise and also delish."

Good service

Lots of vendors selling many kind of food and stuffs. However, it's now getting too pricey. Every Thursday they have market day. Now they added a lot more seats which is a long time due.
