Kauri Block Walk

This is a great walk up to the Pa with 360 degrees views. All up hill but what a great view.

A short, under forest canopy, walk with a great range of Kauri tree ages from 10yrs to 1300yrs old. The entrance is within a caravan park which was a little confusing at first.

A good little walk with views over the Coromandel. Not too arduous. Plenty of kauri trees to spot. Good panoramic views at the top.

From 1 side to the other took us about 1 hour with a 3 year old and some photo stops. Quality not impacted by the heavy rain of last night.

A good walk right in town. Some nice views. Some hills.

Steps lead up to a ridge-top walk with some views over Coromandel and coast. Loop back via the coast road - no footpath for half of it, total time 1:30 approx

Lovely Kauri trees, not busy, easy walk. The path was well maintained, smooth except for tree roots in a few places (And a big storm came through about a 10 days ago, which washed out enough of the major hwy from Thames to close it). Gentle slope up and down, some of the path is a boardwalk.The sign says a 20 minute walk, but that doesn't account for all the picture taking. I was there around Noon today walking with 2 friends, and it took about an hour - because it's just that pretty.You can walk the entire path, and you'll end up on a gravel road which slopes down to the parking lot where the walk began.We saw only 3 other people during the time we were there, and one was using a wheelchair. I didn't ask her how difficult she thought it was, but hopefully she will post here as well.Be sure to use the shoe bath at the beginning and end, to help prevent the spread of the soil born disease which is killing the Kauri.

Even on a bad day it's good track stunning views

An easy if a bit steep walk to the Kauri tree and to the beech. Not too difficult, well sign posted and good track condition.

Nice walk perfect if you like running or walking.
