Wanaka Rentacar

Sue from Wanaka Rentacar was extremely helpful getting a Subaru ready for us on very short notice. We hired it for four days in February. This was especially nice after having much trouble trying to book a vehicle earlier in the trip in Queenstown. It meant we were able to see much of the beautiful scenery in the area.The car drove perfectly, had a full tank of fuel, was very clean and reasonably priced.We can't thank them enough for their help and service. We would recommend them for any car rentals in Wanaka!

Hired a car for 2 days to get to Cardrona and back. The service was absolutely amazing and they were beyond helpful and super friendly. They made the process so easy for us and the car its self was super clean and reliable. Will definitely be using this company again!!

We travelled to Wanaka NZ for the first time last October/November. We hired a car through Wanaka Rentacar including airport transfers. The system Sue and her team have set up is brilliant, you book a car and transfers and an experienced local guide picks you up from the airport, meeting you in the foyer, and drives you to their Wanaka office in your hire car. Roel provided a brilliant commentary along the way, including a stop off at the lookout on the scenic Crown Range, breathtaking! Sue was waiting for us on arrival, where we completed the paperwork and paid the hire fees. Their office is right in town, so if you have any questions or concerns you can drop in and ask (we didn't recognise a light indicator on the dash!). When you're ready to depart, you just reverse the process. It was the most streamlined, stress free and friendly system I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this service to anyone seeking to visit Wanaka and hire a car. The costs were very reasonable and much cheaper than other 'over the hill' transfer options (cheaper transfers are by coach, going around the mountain base and infrequent departures). With Wanaka Rentacar they are there for you when you need them, on your timetable. Simply brilliant, I can't wait to return!

Sue is absolutely amazing, she went out of her way to make sure we had a car while ours was in the garage after it broke down. It's the whole experience, the friendly phonecall, the effort she puts in to make it work, great customer service! We definitely recommend Wanaka Rentacar and will be back in the future. Couldn't speak more highly of a small business. Sue was amazing to deal throughout the whole process. They could charge higher prices but they don't rip people off during peak season because they are genuine, great kiwi folk. If I could rate them a 10, I would, as they made it super easy on us and our two young kids. Thanks Sue, we will never use anyone else. Tom
