Rere Falls
It was closed due to the bank side being damaged, so I parked at the entrance on the side of the road. Has a very big car park, toilets, rubbish bin, and table and seating.Waterfall is right at car park, so very little effort to see this spectacular waterfall

Even though we went on a damp day, Rere Falls still took our breath away! To have a waterfall, like this, that can be so easily accessed is such a treat! Would love to go back on a summer's day and have a go at walking in behind the waterfall.

As it has been raining a lot lately, the falls were spectacular and we got some great photos. The water was warm, though you need to watch for submerged tree branches when walking out in the water and swimming. At lot of tree debris have been washed down stream during the recent storm's and could do with clearing. There's park benches by the waterfall so a nice place to relax, have a picnic and watch the waterfall.

Definitely a must see when in Gisborne. Beautiful spot to have a picnic, go boogie boarding down the natural water slide, or just chill and dip your toes in the refreshing water.

Definitely the best stop when in Gisbourne! So much fun to be had. Make sure to bring a body board to slide down the natural slip n slide. Then spend some time at the waterfall, can even walk behind & slide or jump off. Amazing fun for all ages

The road to the picnic area is shut because of flood damage, but managed to get some good drone footage. Falls can still be seen from the bridge.
