Karanga Ink

We got to know Karanga Ink during the last Pasifika Festival in Auckland. We were super impressed instantly.Few weeks later we had our first session with Pip and TJ.It was incredible how they converted our ideas into real stunning art while just drawing everything directly on the skin. No stencils - just unique art.I got my whole lower leg done by TJ and I'm super proud how everything went out. It's even much much better than I ever imagined.My partner was so happy with her chest piece that the she got another one by Pip on her back.The people at Karanga are amazingly kind, professional, authentic. We felt welcomed, and had some nice talks about tattoo culture, māori culture, art, etc..Additionally, the studio itself is nice,too. It's a studio and gallery. Check out all the art by TJ.Sadly, we have to leave NZ soon. I'm sure we would get more tattoos done.Thank you TJ, Pip and everyone at Karanga Ink.

Got a piece done by Tyla at the Chch tattoo expo and I'm so incredibly stoked. The whole team were so cool and really know how to look after their clients. Such a good vibe and awesome service. Definitely definitely recommend.

I got my Ta moko done by Pip and I absolutely love it.The shop has an amazing atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. Right away you feel at home and very warm welcomed.Defnetly worth a visit!

Coming from Germany and was looking for a traditional style tattoo to cover up an old and ugly one. With Google search I found Pip and Karanga Ink - exactly that kind of tattoo art I was looking for. Pip is friendly, relaxed and an impressive person. She did everything free-handed and the result was perfect - I can 100% recommend!

I came here to get a traditional Maori style tattoo and I walked away with an incredibly meaningful and beautiful piece of art on my arm and chest. The staff are all so kind and helpful, they're so easy to get on with. I was so glad that I came here for my first tattoo and I had a great experience. I would more than happily reccomend this place to anyone.

Pip and her crew at Karanga Ink were completely amazing. I planed my Tattoo with Pip via email from the Uk and was kept in the loop right upto the date of my traveling to Nz.My experience at Karanga Ink was welcoming, warm and guided by Pip. I am so grateful to have been honoured with a traditional Maori Ta Moko tattoo by a Maori (Pip) who's ancestors go back many generation.
