We couldn’t get through via phone so drove down to order. It was worth it! If you can’t get through via phone, drive down, and wait. As it will be worth the wait! Fantastic curry, probably the best saagwala and korma we’ve ever had (and we’ve had lots of curries from multiple different places across NZ). As amazing as the autumn colours in Wanaka! Oh and no nuts on the premises which is a HUGE bonus to our nut allergy friends (YAY)Thanks, we will be back!

Delicious and good value. Lamb and prawn dish were excellent. We recommend medium spice. Hot but not too hot. Gewürztraminer wine is excellent and perfect for Indian favours. The wine was also excellent value at $38 for the bottle. Highly recommended understated family restaurant.

Phoned for reservation on Tue night and got this cute message we're busy, sorry. We called in and booked for Wed night. Arrived early no problem and had the most delicious lamb snd chicken dishes. No pics as we were too quick eating, Serving size in the traditional serving bowls with complimentary rice. Pull apart delicious meats. Delightful service and chat about the cuisine and how and who it is served to. Balmy evening sitting by the window. Stars were aligned. Enjoyed the Dusky Sounds Waipara Valley Chardonnay

Came for dinner and they were full inside, there was only one person serving. She asked us to wait for 20 minutes outside, which was fine, and we took a menu. When our table was ready and we ordered she said they had run out of all the starters aside from one. It was before 8pm so how did they run out of all the food? And why not tell us this when we were waiting outside for so long? In the end we ordered the lamb rogan josh and this was not great. The lamb was tough and the sauce was made sweet with sugar. Would not recommend it for traditional Indian or Kashmiri food.

We ordered butter chicken, beef vindaloo and the garlic naan. All tasted amazing! Probably the best Indian we have had in a long time. If busy, worth the wait.

We went on a busy Tuesday night where 1 person was serving and what looked like 1 person in the kitchen. I have to say we were blown away by our experience. The service was excellent, especially given the staffing they had. As for the food, I can't believe how good it was, we ordered 3 different Currys (beef, lamb and chicken) all cooked to perfection. It couldn't have been done better if there were an entourage of kitchen staff. Honestly blown away by the whole experience so thank you!

Such a wonderful meal out. I had the prawns and my bf had paneer. Really tasty sauce and rice included which I love! Naaan was so fluffy inside and perfectly cooked. Family run & you can taste the love in the cooking!

Easily one of the best Indian experiences I’ve had in a long time. Beautiful homely atmosphere, service with a smile. I ordered the chicken tikka starter which was quite small for the price but was cooked perfectly, had a lamb madras main which was a little sweet for my liking but apart from that cooked brilliantly. Highly recommend the korma or vindaloo.Oh and the Naan bread was A+++
