We've been coming to Kaikanui Chinese Restaurant for over 20 years. Fantastic food and a great selection too. We had Sweet n sour pork, pan fried dumplings and chips. And they deliver outside of Kaiapoi. A++++

I think this place has got some great stuff. I ordered 3 different dishes and for some reason they all came with the same kinda brown flavors and lacked the actual flavor that the dish was supposed to be. As in the ginger chicken had no ginger. They also cook the veges wayyy too much and are soft and loose the fresh and crunchy bite that I personally like.

Pretty good but not up to usual standard, hardly any sauce on the s&s pork or lemon. Chicken.Husband's beef blk bean.mostly hunks of watery cabbage in sauce.If I lived in Kaiapoi I probably would have taken it back.Unusual as has always been a great place to go when in a hurry home late,

Local fish and chip shop. Go to for Chinese. Usually pretty fast, especially if you phone order in.

Lovely food including Chinese specialty meals, and the good old fish and chips. You can order set meals, or have a meal made up from the cabinets on the spot. Unless you order by phone, be prepared for a wait, as phone orders seem to take priority. ( I didn't phone in my order and waited close to thirty minutes for my order.) When it came, though, the food was excellent and authentic with some of the best, meatiest, wonton I have had at any Chinese restaurant. I recommend this restaurant, but I also recommend that you order first by phone.

Went fish and chip shop tonight ordered piece of blue cod got home open my parce hadl 6 muscles inside only. Very unhappy got parcels muddled up

Bland and watery food, not very generous meat portions with very little flavour.Greasy/oily rice and noodles which lacked the smokiness and depth of flavour properly wok cooked" Chinese food is meant to have.Better more authentic options exist elsewhere.Won't return."
