Lake Domain Homestay

Where do we start ? Parking on site offered, impossible site with reverse onto busy road access. Owner not on site and argumentative about spaces, suggest he get parking lines done to get other guests to tow the line. Place in poor state and lots of repairs needed. Also in need of a good clean. Bed comfortable and view unmatched, but that is sadly all.

Really nice to see the lake. Rooms good. Communal space large.

Wifi Speed 45 mbps (good to work with).Nice location at the lake. Common rooms are spacious and of course one needs to like this while common room and shared bathroom concept.It was clean and okay for us :)

Great view and location but thats where the positives end. It really needed a good clean. Dirty dishes, cobwebs in bathroom and shower, rubbish outside etcMassive cockroaches in bedrooms and the lounge. None of the TVs worked properly and wifi was average.. it didnt reach the room I stayed in.

Lovely location and very nice host who was very prompt with queries. A little attention needed with making sure everything works but that was all. Otherwise the perfect place to stay in Hamilton. Relaxed, roomy, comfortable and an excellent outlook over the lake.

A very nice property but very neglected. It seems that they never do the cleaning, only change the sheets.

My daughter went there this past weekend and what a shambles. She had unknown men enter her room . She was placed in a unsafe situation. The police needed to be called ...these men were clearly paying for one room..yet taking advantage of the other rooms. POLICE file has been established for this the place

This is misleadingly listed as a hotel on Trip Advisor, Trivago and Google search. This is actually not a hotel but rather a homestay. After making a booking my pregnant wife and I showed up on the day to a house. When asking the owner why it was listed as a hotel he immediately became irate obviously having experienced this before as we found later with more reviews online. He told us if we didn’t like it we could find somewhere else to stay, which we did making us late for a wedding that afternoon. He’s attitude was confronting as he denied any responsibility for how his listing presented as a hotel online.
