Ruapehu Mountain Motel and Lodge

Well worth the money!I arrived late but let the office know prior and they set the room up for me, heater was on, key in room and they gave me instructions on how to get to room from reception. I left early and there was an easy key drop off system.I wasn't expecting much for the price but the room was amazing. Clean, spotless and well presented. The bed was firm but comfortable, the shower was really hot and had great pressure.Location is great with only a 4min walk to the powder keg and other bars and the turn off to head up the mountain was a block away.Will defiantly stay here again when in town.

Friendly service upon arrival. Clean and well presented accommodation. Walking distance to local shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Awesome accomodation by the mountain meaning amazing views. Spacious units with full kitchen, comfy living area, good bedroom with closet. Nice bathroom facilities but no extractor fan. Communal room with kitchen and entertainment provided as well as info pamphlets with a friendly and welcoming host.

Had coffee plunger in room but no coffee for it. Beds only had one pillow each. Great we could have our dog though.

Worst communication ever. All I needed was an invoice sent through for a booking made in June. Heard absolutely nothing. Emailed and called countless times and got NOTHING. Unbelievably annoyed. Definitely not booking here again.

Stayed here over the winter season. Great place to stay friendly people and good location. Kevin and Leigh go out of their way to make sure everyone is looked after.Cheers

Friendly people, handy location. Was a few issues with my room, one being that it kinda smelt like dog

Came here because some strong rain and wind made would have made for some terrible tenting. The room was clean and the price was more than fair. They have a communal kitchen with everything you need to cook your food. The bed had plenty of sheets, was comfortable and quite warm. I would have liked an extra pillow but it wasn't necessary .

Room was tidy and warm, shower pressure wasn't that great and kept awake by a party in the room next door, thumping bass, loud voices, banging doors and people vomiting outside my window.
