Taaj Indian Restaurant & Cafe
Had a butter chicken and my wife had mango chicken. Both were very sweet. I couldn't finish mine due to the sugar but wasn't too bad in the mango chicken. Staff were friendly and the restaurant is tidy.Only reason I won't be back is the sweetness of the food that disguises all the flavours it should have.

Really nice interior for dining in. Awesome staff made us feel very welcome, despite our late arrival. I highly recommend the cheese and garlic naan. If you're already a fan or this naan bread variation, you'll be well impressed. Best naan I've ever had. My curry was also fantastic quality and tasted authentic.

Always get great food. Also only place I've been able to get a Bhuna in Nelson. Just be aware they tend to be a little bit spicier than some other Indian Restaurants in Nelson. That's not a bad thing.

Awesome place to dine and relax. Great atmosphere and very good service. Prices were fair, and the food was amazing.Lots to choose from, but I am not the adventurous type, so I went for the classic. Butter Chicken with Rice and Garlic and Cheese Naan bread. The amount was very filling.

Most authentic Indian food I've had in the region. There is something special about the spices that they use which makes it stand out from the rest.The flavors take me back home.Without a doubt my favorite Indian restaurant!Very welcoming staff and nice ambience.Definitely recommend!!

We will happily be making the 2 hr drive to come and eat here again and again and probably again. We can't even explain the flavors of everything we ate. Everything was just down right INCREDIBLE. We ordered the Maharaja banquet for two". The menu is full of options. The staff is very kind and polite which is a bonus. Nice restaurant seating as well. This is a must."
