All food delicious. Staff super friendly. Just along from Rydges hotel where we stayed, so perfect place for breakfast. Has set us up perfectly for our long journey home. Wife has just had their fancy chicken cheese choux sandwich, stunning

La Cloche is my favourite cafe in all of Wellington and the perfect way to start the day. Bright and sunny and open, with delicious food and tremendous coffees are all a part of it. But it’s the people here that make it the best. Friendly, welcoming, and coffee and food lovers themselves, they give it a great atmosphere and make you feel at home. Favourite foods are the croque monsieur, pain au raisin, and croissant. First tried a piccolo here and it’s my coffee style of choice now, it lets the coffee taste shine with a bit of milk to soften it and for extra flavour. Their tea selection is really good too, served by the pot. Thanks for a great week back in Wellington for me, La Cloche, sadly I must return to Auckland now. I will miss you until next time.

I want to start this by saying the food and service are amazing.However there is a bug problem here. Having to swat away flies every few seconds. And there’s mosquitoes under the tables.A pet peeve is serving hot drinks (chai lattes) in glasses with no handles. No one has asbestos hands. Why serve hot drinks in glasses so customers can’t pick them up!

Friendly staffGood coffee. Sadly, disappointed with our sweets.Coffee and chocolate slice was really dry and the pistachio cake which looked stunning was overpowered with almondWe only ate half of each. Perhaps we made the wrong choice on the day.

I was a regular customer until today, in April 2023, price went up by 8%, I got the minimum wage increased, ok. But June 2023, price went up significantly again. I will not buy a $8.5 almond croissant, it's not cool. Will go to other cafe instead. Recommend taste of Europe in the hutt

Fast service, delicious food, great coffee, and plenty of seating space.It gets extremely busy with the corporate crowd but it's a handy central spot.

My son and I tried the lemon Tart and blueberry tart, and they were lovely. My favorite was the lemon Tart. Lovely staff there. They were closing, but were happy to serve us, which was very much appreciated. Lovely Cafe and great staff.

Just stopped by here for the first time. Everything was so well done and delicious. The salmon gougere was so perfectly balanced, and the chocolate mouse and blueberry tart not too sweet. The coffee also was great. Will be back again asap! I just wish the coffee was t served in a takeaway cup.

The staff are so nonchalant about swarms of flies in their food cabin that they said they will deal with it after the rush hour! I can’t think of another cafe that has even less system of serving orders, no number table, no order numbers, they come up and down asking each eat-in customer. Albeit Delicious coffee and desert, this is a tormenting experience amidst chaotic management and shoddy service.
