The best school that prepares students for life and life to the fullest.

Some teachers a great, they have a heart for the students and genuinely care, but that’s only a few and also just a bout the only good thing I can say about elim. Over the past five years it’s gone drastically down hill, and the priorities of the board are shown when they prioritise building a multi million dollar new office block for staff whiles doing nothing to the few class rooms that haven’t been updated ever (not an exaggeration they have never been updated) this leaves classrooms wet cold and mouldy. Elim was bad in 2018. It’s only gotten worse. I doubt you here will be any improvement either. Few things to note. Only bathrooms where but out of service due to urinals leaking on floor, no tuk shop, reduced class rooms, not a single blade of grass anywhere, gym is closed to students. Ain’t much to do there but wish you where somewhere else.

A great school which encourages students to reach their full potential within a Christian worldview.

just to preface, I finished my schooling at Elim in 2016. If you are looking for a closed-minded, publicity focused and self-focused school you've hit the spot. many teachers were rude, close minded and always viewed themselves of a higher worth than those around them - both other staff and their students. The upper management in the Senior college are bullies and will try to force students or bully them out of their personal beliefs. this school aims to teach the lessons of the bible, but fails to hit the love all" and "love thy neighbor" aspect. The school will make you feel less about yourself for your morals or beliefs. the upper management will never believe the perspective of the student and will force them to admit to false claims - as they try to support their under qualified staff. the junior school is great send your kids there but once they reach high school age get out of there as fast as you can :)"

(Seems like all of these other reviews are from parents. So I thought I would share a student review). Some outstanding teachers at this school. Nevertheless, I hated my time here. The facilities are lacklustre, and money is poured in to the wrong places. There was a tonne of false hope and promises about what the future of the school would look like. Much of that was to do with thinking about ten years down the track and not the present. If you care about sports this isn’t the school for you, no grass whatsoever. Lucky to get a full team for many sport categories. Sports gear selection is really, really bad. Our own coach was the one providing balls. If you care about languages, also not the school for you. If you want to learn a language other than Mandarin, you will be doing correspondence. If you vaguely want to be treated like an adult, good luck. Most of the staff are more concerned about confiscating your phone or moaning about you wearing a necklace, rather than asking how your day is going.Only positive thing I can really say about my seven years at Elim is the fact that you are probably going to have a really great group of people to get to know. The only reason I didn’t leave after the first year or so is because of how great my mates were. With that being said, I think you could find great friends at other schools as well.To sum this up for parents or students considering Elim:You can pay the close to $3000 a year and have a concrete carpark to sit on during break times, and probably get home everyday feeling an overwhelming sense of frustration as to why you ever considered going to this school. Or you can go to a free public school with way more funding, subjects, teachers and vastly better facilities. If time travelling was a thing, I would have chosen the latter.

Can’t trust the principle and the management. They will force teachers out by bullying. I used to think this was a good school. But now I know the management don’t have Christian values and can’t be trusted

I spent 9 years at Elim and during my time I made many friends. I found that my friends were the only positive thing that I ever really took from Elim but I still miss it. At times the teaching staff seemed extremely unreasonable but overall I think that it is a solid school.
