Very disappointed with a recent experience in the timber yardThe older gentleman i was helped by was either having a very bad day or just didn't want to serve customers.I managed to get what i needed but received short or no responses to anything i said. There were other examples of rudeness but there probably isn't much point detailing themIn comparison the staff inside were friendly and helpful but this isn't enough to make me want to go back again, ever.

Biggest issue with this branch is the staff, they need training on customer service and basic manners.Some of the yardies are really good. Counter staff not so much.

Where do I start. First a website that is useless prob done by a teenager, The store is nice but overpriced items like REALLY overpriced, Most items are out of stock. Staff rude and have no idea about products. This shop lives in the past and should shut down. Stay away you have been warned!

Went in yesterday for a piece of offcut gib because they sell broken pieces cheaply in their timber dept. Met by the most surly grumpy staff I've ever encountered. I was in a good mood when I went in but not when I came out. Staff are your front PR line. If they look at you as though they loathe you, well you just don't come back. Actually I avoid this place like the plague. The service at Bunnings and Mitre 10 is always pleasant and helpful. None of these guys I encountered yesterday would get past five minutes in an interview.

What is happening at PlaceMakers Kaiwharawhara, when ever I have been in there there is simply no choice. Stock levels seem depleted. Yesterday I dove there to buy a Nylex hose and no stock, in fact only one budget brand. A shame as it is handy for me but not worth going there.

Ridiculously bhard to get service, worst trade shop in Wellington, advise you to avoid, save yourself sometime and go somewhere else.Spent another 30 minutes wasting my time in the store listening to the staff bag the staff discounts, as more expensive than other retailers, retail price, took note and left for another store, worst, I repeat worst experience of any hardware store, I've ever been to.

Wonderful helpful service from Sarah. Was about to walk out disappointed as the steps advertised as available were not available. She thought out of the square, really took time out to walk me over to pallets suggested I use them. Bonus they're free and also got the sawing man to cut it down to size. Most impressed with Sarah's customer service. Thankyou

Cant use a tape measure. bought heaps of decking timber,specifically asked for one piece at 5.4 metres to avoid a scarfe joint on the top hand rail, 5.2 given, emailed them, weeks ago,gave my cell number still no reply, cant afford another $95 delivery for one piece.Will go back to Bunnings and spend my business money there.

These guys are brilliant. They made a mistake and overcharged me. I'm not an account holder, so they went to the effort of finding me through the security footage and looking up my company from our logos. Very impressed.
