We had a wonderful lunch. Staff are polite and friendly. They have lunch special too. All the meal taste fresh and warm. And must try dessert menu. They look fancy and delish!

Amazing, amazing authentic Taiwanese food made by Taiwanese chefs. Living as an expat in Taiwan for 5 years and coming to NZ I had been craving for some Taiwanese delicacies and this place hit the spot. We went there on a Saturday night and it was very crowded and we had to wait for a while, which is understandable. Regardless, we were treated to some desserts at the end of the meal by the restaurant to make up for the delay and it really meant a lot! The food arrived super fast even though the restaurant was packed to the brim. We especially loved the duck rice, the beef noodles, fried rice and the chicken fillet were also equally scrumptious. The only thing we didn't enjoy were the dumplings.Will definitely come back again!

Find this place for my lunch on a day trip to Ashburton. The environment is clean and tidy, staffs are all friendly and with their smiles on their faces all the time. The food came up fast and tasty too. Some of the traditional dishes are surprisingly good like the flavors you could find in Asia! It worths my long drive to try, will be back : )

A great place for Asian cuisine! Environment, service and food were excellent. The meals we ordered were quite authentic as the food I had in Asia, but also were adjusted a bit to meet western style/culture. Feel like home already.

Formosa Ashburton, what a lovely and welcoming street appeal.As soon as you walk in you are hit with a atmosphere like no other. The staff were very kind and the service was amazing. We ordered a few plates including rice, chicken and dumplings. All in decent sizes for sharing and the overall mains experience was something you couldn't get anywhere else.The toilets were also clean and secure.Desserts, all looked so appealing and the picture did not lie. I got a Mango Sorbet and it came out so quickly, it came with a selection of fruits and it was that amazing I'd be coming back every night.Overall, A place like no other, amazing service, food and atmosphere, what else could you ask for?5 Stars!

Fusion Asian.Very good fried rice. Look, smell and taste like the fried rice in Taiwan.We ordered the Taiwanese Fried Chicken but was a little bit disappointed as some chicken pieces were too chunky that some their taste were bland.Their Guabao (braised pork) was faultless. Not too sweet and melt in your mouth.
