More or less wound up here on Accident since everywhere else was full on a public holiday. Best mistake I ever made. Food was incredible and portions were excellent. We even had a 10% Holiday Surcharge and still spent less than $20 per person (we weren't able to finish our food and had to take a dish home). If I had to recommend just one dish, I'd go with any of the dumplings. They're quite literally the best dumplings I've had outside of China. The noodles were also excellent

I recently had the displeasure of dining New Flavour that provided one of the most abysmal experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that the service would be far from satisfactory. We were greeted with indifference, and it quickly became apparent that the concept of hospitality was foreign to the staff.To begin with, there was a complete lack of service. We had to pick up our own cutlery, menus, and even water glasses from a counter. It felt like we were doing the restaurant's job for them. It's not unreasonable to expect some level of assistance and guidance when dining out, but at this establishment, we were left to fend for ourselves.But the real nightmare began when we placed our orders. The food took an eternity to arrive, and the delay was completely unjustifiable. There was no communication from the staff about the delay or any effort to keep us informed. Our hunger only grew as we watched other tables receive their meals before us, despite arriving much later. It was clear that our table had been neglected.Frustrated and hungry, we decided to speak to the manager about the unacceptable delay. Unfortunately, that decision only made matters worse. The manager's response was nothing short of appalling. Instead of addressing our concerns with empathy or professionalism, they were outright rude and dismissive. It was as if our dissatisfaction inconvenienced them, and they had no interest in rectifying the situation or providing any semblance of customer service.It's disheartening to see such a lack of care and regard for customers in a supposedly reputable establishment. Dining out is meant to be a pleasant experience, but this restaurant managed to turn it into a regrettable ordeal. From the absence of proper service to the egregious delay in receiving our food, and the abysmal behavior of the manager when confronted, this was an all-around disastrous dining experience.I strongly advise anyone considering dining at this restaurant to think twice. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by choosing a different establishment that values its customers and prioritizes providing a pleasant dining experience.

The restaurant opens till late but the food is not that wow. Just ok. We had noodles, pork and chives dumplings and hot and sour soup. Tried this place first time but not really impressed.

This was my local 10 years ago, and whenever I went, it was bustling and busy, and the food was always reliably fantastic. This was my first time back for a couple of years, and it's definitely changed. I suspect new ownership. The service isn't right, there's no green tea on your table and no longer are you sat at a table and looked after. It felt very impersonal, and I didn't like it.I ordered the same favs I always have, but they missed the mark. The prices have gone up too.New Flavour has nostalgic, happy place memories, but I think my romance with them is over. It's all a bit sad, really.

Found this place while looking for a late night dinner place. It was almost full as we went in so service was a bit slow. Good food though, will keep in mind next time I will grab late night food trip.

Arguably the worst chicken fried noodles I've had for $20. They charge a surcharge of 2.5% for paywave and credit card transactions. They even charge you extra for takeaway boxes. You are expected to approach the counter for everything viz water, cutlery etc. Didn't feel welcomed at all. Definitely not at all impressed with their customer service. Food was extremely average for the price. They had only one variety of noodles (thick noodles). Honestly I've had so much better for a lesser price elsewhere. Will never be going back neither will I recommend this place to anyone else.

The food was good, the quality and quantity was great. wasn't the best chinese restaurant in Auckland I've been before though. I ordered sizzling beef, my favorite Chinese dish, it came not too hot. It is usually sizzling when it arrives and sometimes they cover it to avoid sizzling going through your face but it was like a normal hot dish in hot plate. The restaurant was nearly full my husband and I sat on a 4 chair table, in middle of our order they told us whenever a 2 seat table was free we have to move to the other table as the restaurant gets busy later.

Ordered delivery. Waited an hour. Rice dish not sent with order. Not enough food for my family. When calling they told me “oohh make claim on uber”……Sweet and sour pork $28 and like $4 of pork.WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN

Had dinner here today and ordered crispy pork with sweet and sour sauce and few fried rices ! I have been to most Chinese restaurants and this is so far the worst when it comes to flavours! All the food we had were pretty bland and didn’t like the food at all. Pork and chives with prawns dumpling was the only dish I could eat and was flavourful! Overall experience was a disappointment! The environment is busy and noisy ☹️
