Definitely a beautiful area. If you have the time to go see it, you should. Bare in mind the whole drive up is on gravel road so it takes much longer than Google maps says. Wish I known this before I went.

Really nice walk. We had a bit of a muddy situation, but still great.

This stunning walk provides panoramic views from beginning to end. Get back to the untouched true New Zealand while exploring the last frontier. This walk is suitable for most, with a reasonable level of fitness required. You may also enjoy the challenging mountain bike track available for the more capable. I would recommend going with a tour company for many safety reasons including the narrow gravel roads and that they provide local knowledge along the tour. No matter how you experience it, this walkway is truely #goodforyoursoul

Wonderful walk. Mostly gentle inclines with a steep descent into Poley Bay and equally steep ascent out. Spectacular views - make sure you check out The Lookout. 20km return - a bit long if not done much walking. Stony Bay to Lookout and back is good.

This walk is epic.. some of the best views you’ll see in the North Island. You can do the full 10km (20 return) track from Fletcher’s bay to Stony bay and vice versa but I was recommended to start at Fletcher’s bay and walk to a lookout which is signposted as the ‘look out’ en route. It’s 5km in, so half way and avoids two massive hills on the Stony Bay side. The lookout has 360 degree views and the walk there has a few steep points but it’s stunning with great views.Few tips:- take plenty of water! The water in the region isn’t drinkable and you must boil it- the drive there is long, windy and gravel. Be aware that it’s not the nicest drive and to be cautious of other cars as it’s quite narrow but you’ll be fine!- there is a Ford just past Port Jackson (a campsite 15mins before Fletcher’s Bay)- my Holden astra made the trip, if that helps!

A must do walk beautiful vies I found a little beach along the way. Very steep access but worth the effort to get to. Did a beach clean up and enjoyed being on a beach people really come to
