We were staying at whiritoa in last weekend and picked up a lot of indian dishes from here for our dinner but it was such a huge disappointment. The chicken starter was red color and overcooked and rubbery. The veg starter of panner chilly had no taste. The goat curry was spoiled and was not eatable. The vegeterian curry had the same masala as goat curry and thus it was spoiled too. We had to cook food at the last moment in the bungalow we were staying. Totally waste of money and a disappointment on the trip.

We are travelling on a trip around the north island from Oz and was recommended this place by our air Bnb host. The food was exceptional and we would rate it a 6/5 - especially the glazed cauliflower. The mustard fish was fabulous too but a little too much sauce compared to fish ratio , but the taste exquisite. The waitress seemed completely overwhelmed and was working front of house on her own with a full house, so service was very slow. If you can put up with very slow service the food is fabulous.

Absolutely delicious! Great presentation, flavor, feels authentic (not too creamy or oily - just right). Highly recommend the chicken tikka, also had the bhindhi (okra) and paneer patiyala, both quite good.Dessert was good too! Loved the chocolate samosa, with one caveat - couldn’t get the taste of cumin out of my mouth! I believe they use the same samosa crust as the normal/savory ones. I’d strongly urge the team to use a crust that doesn’t have cumin, maybe sugar instead.

Had dinner here and one the best Indian food I have ever had in New Zealand. Guys please try them and if you are in whangamata do not forget to order from them and please do bookings they normally busy every night. That lamb and prawn dish is so delicious. Thank you for having us!! ❤️

I am a visitor to Whangamata and this place was recommended highly.I tried to order takeaway for collection..what a drama !! Why do I have to create account ? Why do you need my address ? Too hard !! I just wanted to pay online as I ordered, then pick up my dinner. Guess I must try something else
