Ambiance was good and the team was friendly. They had a good variety of beverages. Good place for a brekkie or brunch.

Nice atmosphere and awesome decor inside with the massive Moose head. We attended a private function where it was booked out and had a great night. There are plenty of options on the Food menu and we ordered the Platter for Two to share. Great service

Popped in one morning for a coffee and scone. Coffee was perfectly strong & hot. Cheese scone was crusty on the outside and warm and fluffy inside. Very tasty with the addition of onion and rocket. Served with 2 portions of butter which is generous in these times. Lovely relaxed ambience, friendly staff. A unique & popular eatery in Howick. Keen to return for lunch or for one of their special dinner nights.

Just had the best steak meal at a restaurant EVER! Perfectly cooked med-rare scotch, chips & salad, paired with an iced-cold beer, all for $30!! See you next Thursday

I liked the way they have held onto the old artefacts of the pharmacy that this place once would have been. And then mixing in the new cafe design. Nice place for weekend brunch with friends. Crispy chicken waffle was good and so was the eggs Benedict. The Korean style chicken was bit chewy for my liking. Great coffee and milkshake too

Decided to come here for dinner as the menu online appeared to have some decent options however nothing ended up going as planned.Upon arrival, we were given an entirely different menu and when asked about the online version, no excuse was given.Decided to order the risotto balls and Korean chicken for entrees but when the food arrived it wasn’t really as we expected. Risotto balls were very plain and unseasoned and largely disappointing. Korean chicken was blatantly American fried chicken with some gochujang sauce. As individual elements they weren’t bad, but combined it just tasted very odd.Decided to give the smashed burger a try for mains. Needless to say it wasn’t a smashed burger at all - rather it was more just a standard unseasoned beef burger and not really what was advertised.Overall a low 3 star experience.Drinks were alright so might be worth a visit for an evening drink but wouldn’t come back for food again.

Wifey booked online through Google, all worked well. So happened to be here on the same day Howick was hosting a Hot Rod show in the main street (which was closed to traffic) so was quite busy.Food was great and despite being busy came out in good time. Wife and I had burgers while friend had a big breakfast.Toilets on premises and were nice and clean. Hand dryer was a bit weak but otherwise bathroom had soap, was clean and a good size.

Passing through Howick and popped in for breakfast. The service was great and the food was absolutly yummy! 15-year old son thought they were Burger and chips was the best he's ever had, and the chips were awesome! Big Breakfast and Mushrooms on Toast were fantastic as well. Highly recommended.Great coffee as well.

Overall rating 88/100A fantastic dining experience at this unique cafe in the heart of Howick.Unexpectedly, a simple order of toast with eggs delivered a world class menu item, and the standout was surely the jalapeño relish. I am not local to NZ and have tried to recreate it as best as I can but have failed. This stuff is extremely tasty and I will revisit for sure when back in NZ.Coffee quality is also top notch, the best I had in my 3 day stay in AKL.
