Sweet As A Nut Catering

I called Sweet as a Nut after getting nervous about the caterer I was going to use for my wedding day. Scott, the owner, was around at my house that same day and I immediately knew he cared that our day went well, and importantly, that he had the experience to make sure it did. I feel like for your wedding day you want more than amazing food - you also want good people you can be sure know their stuff and will make you feel that they 100% have your back. Scott and his team delivered both of those things and much more. Our reception was in our back yard during tropical cyclone Gita and thanks (in no small part) to Scott and the Sweet as a Nut team it still went off without a hitch. The food was perfect - it was really really yummy and everyone got stuck in and there was heaps for everyone. Everything was prepared to perfection and the snacks we had for our photo's were very much appreciated - the brownie must be the best in town. The food was exactly as we had hoped but what was also amazing was Scott and the team themselves. They were great people to have at your wedding and Scott did so much for us that he didn't have to do. I don't want to go into detail about what specifically least people start to feel they are entitled to his generosity of spirit but suffice to say he went above and beyond! He had every detail covered (down to what kind of wall connection the chiller trailer we hired for the drinks would need). Even my not easily impressed sister from Auckland who has put on a tonne of large high end events was genuinely impressed that he had thought of everything and just basically was a total legend. I cannot recommend Sweet as a Nut enough - especially for weddings when stresses can be a feature and the stakes are high- they were amazing!

Hired these guys for my wedding catering, man who delivered the catering looked like hes just been working on his car very untidy, we purchased a meat platter and had 10 guests get food poisoning including myself and my partner fair to say not the best first week of my marriage

This is quite a delayed review and I'm sorry for that, but I can't rate Sweet as a Nut highly enough. We used the service during a very emotional time for our family and they were so understanding,kind and professional even when we needed to change dates unexpectedly. The food was just beautiful and the quantities were extremely generous. Thank you for providing such a wonderful service.
