Great car that has everything you need for a perfect trip around Great Barrier Island. Easy pick up right next to the airport. Roof top tent super easy to set up. Tim and Janey were very friendly and helpful throughout our rental. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hope to come back one day for another trip!

Rented the Suzuki over 3 days on GBI with Stay high for a surf trip. Car was loaded with all the camping gear needed and more. We camped up north near Whangapoua for 2 nights then came back to medlands for the last night.The Friday we were there we got hit with a massive storm, and our tent blew away along with our gear, and everything got soaked. Luckily Tim saved us by providing dry sleeping bags and mats.Tim also provided lots of surf tips for our trip and we scored a couple really fun sessions.Overall great trip, will definitely be back

We owe our magical experience on Great Barrier Island to our rooftop rig from Janey and Tim! We can't think of a better way to explore every corner of such a special place - combining both accommodations and transport in one, and all the camping/cooking gear you could ever need, this made things SO convenient.Pickup is steps from the airport which was great. Janey and Tim were kind enough to tell us about their favourite spots to check out and some hidden gems on the island. Would highly recommend 'Stay High Island Camping' on Great Barrier. We stayed in the Adventurer Vehicle and it was incredible. It had everything you need for camping and more. Will come back in a heartbeat, Thank you Janey and Tim!

I would absolutely, without a doubt recommend Stay High Camping on Aotea as the 'only way' to get around the beautiful island. Janey and Tim were amazing, and nothing was a problem (even when I was stressing out! they had it covered) - everything you could possibly want for an enjoyable 'stress free' holiday - stay high has you covered - cannot wait to return, and do it all over again! - thank you Tim and Janey.

Had four wonderful days enjoying the island with the adventure vehicle. Perfect way to explore the island. Tim and janey were really helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this company and looking forward to come back some day and rent the same car!

Great experience and very kind hosts. Janey and Tim were very welcoming, picking us up from the ferry and accomodating anything we needed. The car was well equipped with everything we could require and some lovely extra touches like fairy lights and kawakawa balm. Would highly recommend using Stay high for a trip the Great Barrier Island. :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the roof top rig. Well set up, comfy and easy to operate. Highly recommended.
