Amazing ambience, food and staff. Early morning jalapeños bagel is most probably the nicest I’ve tasted anywhere around the world.The berry scone with cream and jam .. a close second.

Super cool place to chill on a nice sunny day. Lots of sitting outside. We were here for the Blossom Festival and this place was busy. We duly queued up and placed our order and was surprised at how quickly the food arrived. The food quality was good and yummy but I gave it a 4 star bec I felt the coffee was not up to my taste. I understand different people may like the coffee but I found it a bit sharp and acidic. I normally swear by Atomic coffee so was a tad surprised by this. Maybe a 1 off, else a pleasant experience, food and service.Addition - visited this place again on 29th Dec 2020. Lovely Christmas decor and themes.

Magnificent decoration at the counter, comfy atmosphere cafe. Cozy place for breakfast. The food and drinks are so presentable, love that. The strawberry milkshake is so yum.... Hot Chocolate, Caramel Latte, and cheese rolls and scones are recommended. Always visit here if come to Alexandria.

Who knew?! :-) BEAUTIFUL patisserie foods here - real croissants, and not bad latte! Lovely friendly staff too :-)))For the fusspots of us here, maybe ask for the milk to be a degree or two cooler, and maybe go after others so you ensure the coffee is freshly ground - I think mine had been sitting a little bit in the doser...? But still ok. ((Only wee bit of feedback, to make everything perfect - perhaps softened butter for customers, not little blocks :-))Thanks! Will be back... :))

I git bacon and eggs on toast which I regret as the cabinet food looked way better. They had meringue the size of your head. The bacon and eggs was covered in a giant pile of those leafy little greens I hate, and I could not enjoy meal as all the seating in the place was so unbelievable uncomfortable with the old courthouse doors as tables with heaps of metal bits making it hard to find room to put your plate. I shifted 7 times around the table in hopes of a clear table area and comfortable seat but just wanted to get out of their the seats were so hard and the wrong height for the table so hurting my back to lean down. The doors would be better showcased on the wall and just because it is an old courthouse doesn't mean you have to use old courthouse benches. Rock hard and the only other option was old wooden school type chairs which were just as uncomfortable. If it hadn't of been raining I would have sat outside on one of the park benches. Might be nice on a good day. Their ice chocolate was great tho

Great coffee and GF salted caramel brownie served outside when taking a break from cycling Otago Rail Trail. Definitely recommendable
