It used to be our favourite place and we visited almost every two weeks. We noticed they increased the price again last week and we ended up leaving rather than ordering. You guys are over price now.

Had a meal with a friend this evening in the restaurant. The food was reasonably good, prices are high, the manager was very rude multiple times, he reached over my plate with food to get the reserved sign off the table, he wanted to pressure me into ordering even though my friend hadn't arrived yet and he looked grumpy all the time! This restaurant will not see me a second time!You want me to explain more and here it is:I wasn't just asked for a drink to order, I was pressured to order food after sitting at the table about 5 to 10 minutes and waiting for my friend. After explaining that I didn't know what my friend wants to eat I was told that it takes an hour until the food will be on the table and therefore I needed to order now. Soon after my friend arrived and she asked the waiter/manager to give her 5 minutes to decide and for a recommandation but the waiter turned away. Soon he came back and I asked if he could recommend a dish that was gluten and dairy free but did not receive an answer. So we ordered and the starters were served and we started to eat. At that point we were already sitting at the table at least 30 to 40 minutes when the waiter came and leaned over my plate to get the sign. There was enough space to get it without leaning over my food and he could even have asked me to pass it to him!Throughout this visit not even one smile appeared on that waiters face and as a customer the whole experience with this man was unpleasant.And if you are this man/waiter/manager I can imagine that a feedback like mine is hard to take in and accept but it's up to you to deal with it.The rest of the staff was very friendly and absolutely no complain there!

Mutter paneer mushroom and flavour was very sour and tasteless also missing paneer from curry. When I called them they said We will give you extra panner. I’m a regular customer of the restaurant and spent 100$ every week. I live in city and come all the way to get food from lower Hutt every week. Not happy at all.

Delicious selection, there were so many wonderful choices it was hard to choose. We really enjoyed all of the meals we ordered.The vegetarian and gluten-free options were delicious.

Best Indian food place in Lower Hutt. The staff is very friendly especially Mr. Manjunath. He introduced us to the new drinks menu at the place and we tried LIT. We really enjoyed our drinks(absolutely 100%) as well as the food.

I recently visited Chilli Masala Indian restaurant during my trip to Wellington, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The taste of the food was absolutely fantastic. I took my two girls here as a special school holiday treat. We received top level service, especially by Manjunath. “This is the best curry I’ve ever tasted!” remarked Miss 8. We will definitely come back .

The waiter offered us complimentary starters dish for the extremely long wait time. We were happy with the customer service at the moment. However this was short lived when we were charged for the dish at the end of the meal.In response to the following comment. We were there at the chilli masala restaurant for dinner on Friday night.
