We visited while passing through Hokitika on our travels. The staff were super friendly, the vet we saw was super gentle and patient with my dog. We had a very good experience here and would not hesitate to return should we need to next time we are in the area.

Our dog had a bone stuck down his throat and choking on it. We rushed him down to the vet after i had failed to get the bone out. The vet was rung and rushed to the veteran clinic. Our little woof woof was thrashing around on the way there more than one occasion. Whilst waiting for the vet to arrive we managed to get the bone out . We stayed and talked to the vet for 5minutes before leaving .

While walking in Cass Square, our dog cut his paw on broken glass. We raced into the vet which fortunately was just next door. The vet nurse was available and kindly cleaned his paw and suggested we put a sock on it to keep it clean. No charge. Really impressed.
