My husbands theatre nurse Mario was incredible. A man in the right job. He was with my husband each step of the way. Lovely nursing staff and team.

Outpatient recovery room #1 has a section of the floor where the whole rooms squeaks if you dance. It is a very fun room for a hospital. Very clean too.

I'm still in this hospital as I write. I had major surgery. The food is seriously yummy. The rooms are spotless. The staff are so friendly and communication is faultless. Because of covid, I ended up here instead of Wellington Hospital and I feel really privileged to be here. I had Dr Diamond who was amazing and very knowledgeable. The nurses are attentive and patient. I'll never forget the awesome experience I got at Wakefield Hospital. I'll be leaving happy.

I had a great experience here. I spent 5 nights at the hospital, ate some brilliant food and watched tv all day whilst the nurses answered my every beck and call. Very professional service!Unfortunately, as a doctor, I was told that I was supposed to be working instead of enjoying myself and was given the sack the next day. Oh well, onto the next hospital I suppose.

Getting a medical certificate through Wakefield has been appalling. This is my second experience of not receiving a medical certificate when asked. To this day I am awaiting a medical certificate I asked for on October 1st, I have called multiple times expressing that this is crucial to me passing my university paper, every time I was told they would get back to me I have been left in the dark. I am incredibly upset and stressed from the constant disregard Wakefield has had for my requests and concerns. If you expect any clear communication or a facility you don’t have to chase up endlessly don’t go to Wakefield.

I came here about a year ago, very nervous first time carpal tunnel release patient,A year or so later, my wrist is doing great! , it went so well I'm still doing a 40hr cleaning job which of course involves alot of movement in my wrist. Sandhya Deo was open and up front right from the beginning, explaining that surgery would've been a better option over steroid injections due to the nature of my work and the look of a nerve conduction studies test that I'd previously done. The costs of the surgery were all given to me up front, this made it alot less stressful to organise the money for the surgery.I was nervous as I'd heard mixed opinions both good and bad on this kind of surgery but I was treated with the royal treatment the whole time I was there, was given pain meds before surgery to help with the nerve injections themselves, was consulted before the surgery & had been talked to again about the procedure, the transfer drs/nurses were all lovely, I loved that the nurses were professional but also human, the one with me after surgery before transfer had a wee giggle at me determinedly trying to eat my popsicle with my numb hand, it made me feel alot more relaxed and comfortable that we could have a little laugh over it, I liked the fact the nurses were bubbly & not too serious, I had a different nurse with me during the whole procedure who was great too, she kept me distracted from the pain and anxiety, was very bubbly and gave me a few good laughs, I was given this amazing heat blanket thing for before and after the surgery, it really calmed me down! Being someone who is diagnosed with anxiety meant that little extra touch helped alot, I was fed afterwards, and had been given a sling, I was given some good advice about wearing it on public buses to let the drivers know to be cautious and let me sit down before flying off

What a fantastic bunch of professional people, I cannot say more about the friendliness, kindness, skill and service. My doctors were amazing and my nurses were all out of this world. Thank you for looking after me, I truly appreciate people that do what you do for people, and do it so well!

I had a operation on my back at Wakefield hospital about 18 years ago. The nurse and the doctor’s were very kind and helpful, if I had any questions that answered all my questions. I have also been back many times at Wakefield hospital to get MRI and CT’s tests. I have also had family members and friends stay at Wakefield hospital and they all have nothing but good things to say about this hospital.

A great place to be treated at. The staff here are wonderful. Although extremely busy. They have a personal touch to every interaction and respond ASAP when called for. Thanks for some great medical care.
