We love Shipwreck ....Wow the renovations look awesome very impressed, The Staff are still friendly as always what more do you need. amazing private function at The back, This is such a different vibe to other bars in Gisborne. Summer programme of live music events alwase at shipwreck. Selection of drinks is wide ranging. Love it.Had a great time with family to play pool table and enjoy the food .Definitely worth a visit if your in gisborne.

Not bad as far as dive bars go. when the carparks are full doesn't mean the patrons are in the bar though as it has a dedicated pokies addict room. Garden bar out the back is great in summer, but the whole place could do with a makeover and tidy-up.

The music was awesome, the whole atmosphere of Shipwreck was amazing. The bar staff were very nice. They have an outdoor drinking area for those that smoke, they also have a gaming lounge. Well deserved 5 star's. My girl's felt safe.

Had a great night here all the woman on the bar and security were wonderful. However the Indian guy behind the bar ruined my night. He was rude and pushy maybe he thought I was drunk, when I was the sober driver also having a great time with my husband and friends. Otherwise great music, great atmosphere and great vibe.

A nice friendly environment, if yur looking for a quiet spot to kick yur feet and just unwind then this is not the place for you. But if you want a good vibe a chill environment where u can enjoy some pool, or just some awesome local company then the ship wreck is the place for you. :))

The staff here are awesome. Very relaxing atmosphere, clean and tidy, and a great variety of choice. They also serve hot food, which was cooked perfectly, and filled the void. I'll be going back often!

Looking at the reviewers I was expecting something more.Beer was ok, but the rest not.Place seems left there, not so clean and sad atmosphere, maybe I went at the wrong time?
