I hoping my experience is an outlier, given the other positive reviews here, but I did not enjoy my food from here.Lamb was quite tough and chewy, sauce was bland, and not spicy as requested. The rice also had the texture of microwaved rice.

Ginger is a our Family’s go to.Food is always delicious. Recommend butter chicken medium. Good spice and flavor.People constantly coming in and out picking up there phone orders which is a good sign.Lost track of some our drink orders but this was sorted out.

It was my favourite place but from last month I had really bad experience 4-5 times.Worst experience happened today which really make me mad, I organised party and ordered veg and non veg food for my friends , am 100% vegan from childhood and my some friends as well, I ordered veg jalfrezi and had 2-3 spoons and find out Bone pieces in my veg curry , really distorted my party and make me upset.Suggestions for vegan people avoid to eat from this place.

I was expecting very good from from Ginger as we have moved to Pokeno recently and excited to try food from Ginger. The naan bread were uncooked and there was no garlic in the garlic naan’s, they were more like a plain naan bread and the chicken curry was not cooked properly chicken is raw .Very disappointed with the quality of food.

first time caller at ginger, very long menu to explore not that it is a problem, we ordered the lamb korma and chicken masala between two and still had reheats the filling day. lots of flavour and when they say 20mins they mean it, so keep that in mind every time.recommend.

The food tasted like someone had thrown chicken into some old curry paste. The Indian style butter chicken was soo thick there was no gravy. The dishes are very high priced compared to others in pukekohe and I would say well below average food. Very disappointed and will not be back again. We spent 60.00 which I wish we knew what we were getting.

The best indian restaurant in south-Auckland. I really enjoy to eat here. Is always a pleasure. The taste of the food is awesome! If you do dine in you can bring your own wine, that is a plus 1 for me. I usually take do take always, because is cheaper. I found indian food is good to enjoy watching a good movie at home

Really good when they’re willing to serve you. Attempted to order two Saturdays this month and was told both times they were too busy to take the order, even though this time we called over an hour before they say they close.

Ordered online tonight. Easy to place an order on Menulog, had to make a profile. Arrived on time and hot. Generous serving, not to sweet, close to authentic Butter chicken. $21 main, $6 garlic and cheese naan. $10 delivery charge.

Today, as we often do when in Pukekohe, we lunched at Ginger. Until today, we have always been delighted with the quality of the food and the value. They do a lunch special of curry of your choice, well presented rice and naan bread. The impact of COVID and of the insane inflationary overspending of our present government have driven up prices for everybody, but Ginger still represented good value. Until today, that is. My wife was not hungry enough for her naan bread, so said we would share just one today. Nothing else was changed.The rip-off artist on the counter charged us full price, not the advertised lunch special rate. I didn't notice until my debit card had been read in. Hey, I said it's 36 dollars, not 41. No, he said, because you didn't take it unchanged, it wasn't the special as advertised. So I have to charge full price for every component.I asked are you saying that taking less of one component (Connie's naan bread) costs five dollars more? Yes, he said, because we have to make it specially. And your transaction is already processed, so I can't change it. He shrugged.We will never go back again. Ginger Restaurant, today lost two formerly loyal customers for ever.
