We recently contracted the team at Thistle to build a new house on our lifestyle block in Greytown. They were very professional throughout the building process, from initial design through to completion, communicating ideas on where we could make improvements and also where we could save money to keep the build on budget.They were very patient with our limited building experience and ever changing ideas and also flexible with the design of the house allowing us to make changes to the initial plans to work for us on the section. Thistle built my home about 8 years ago and it was built on time and within budget. I was very happy with the whole process which took 5 months and I found all the team at Thistle very professional, friendly and polite especially Simon and Sophie.This was a total new build from my own plans and the work was of a high standard.This is my forever home and am very happy living here.

We had our house built by Thistle Building in 2019 after having them recommended to us following poor service from a major franchise. Our project managers were Aidan then Matt who are really knowledgeable and helpful. With tough decisions (or ones they thought we might regret!) they gave gentle guidance and showed us the differences in their recent builds or local houses, or by sourcing different samples. Jason was the site Foreman and was awesome to deal with too. All of the builders that worked on site were friendly and professional. They source great tradies and deal with any issues. The build quality was excellent and their finishing painters and kitchen joinery suppliers did their workmanship justice. They have done a fantastic job and we really appreciated the attention to detail that they provided. Follow up after the build is great too. Thanks to Simon, Sophie, Aidan, Matt, Jason and the team. You'd be hard pressed to find a better company to deal with.

I had the delight of using the services of Thistle who worked to a very tight deadline (due, no less, to a family wedding I was hosting at my property) with workmanship of a high standard. The minute we received council approval they began the job and finished in record speed. The team was one I would recommend due not only to their efficiency and professionalism, but due also to the calibre of the trades people that did the work. They were happy to oblige my, at times, idiosyncratic preferences for recycled doors, non-standard design, and specific plaster finishing. They were a joy to work with.
