Great Taihape A and P show. Shearing, gumboots throwing, and wood chopping plus the crafts entries.

Nice spot to take a break and enjoy some fresh air during a long trip. Also great safe place for kids to run around. Worth a walk to see the amazing redwoods planted at the back of the playing field.

good times watching or playing the game, going for nature walks, country fairs and sharing competitions, access to the hautapu river via far corner of sports field on swimming center/school side

Park is decent, walked down to the river. It's hard to access the river would be cool if they made it a little easier to get to the water.

Kid's playground is far superior to what we had 30 years ago. Very surprised to see the old grandstand still standing.I recommend they pull it down. Surely a new changing room facility is well over due and cost less than the maintenance spent on keeping the old thing standing.

This is a simple park with playground, but clearly with history behind it. The oak tree in the middle is huge. The picnic tables with water fountain suited a quick stop perfectly, but I wonder how much shade could be found when needed. The toilet block is seriously anachronistic, but functional.

This is a beautiful place to visit peaceful and family friendly for children with sports feilds playground and swimming baths all in one area with a lovely beautiful Grandstand, about 4 only of it's kind left in New Zealand and the council are thinking of building a new one which won't have the same view at the end of the fields.Help Taihape save this beautiful Grandstand please. Always mowed neat and tidy. The toilets are a bit rough but apparently getting new at some stage. I think the gates for vehicles has been locked to protect the grounds over winter. There is still pedestrian access. Rugby games in the winter. Room to walk dogs.
