Tulip Cafe
Have stopped in here a couple of times. Kai is great, and the selection is plenty. Coffee is top-notch. Will call in again.

Coffee lids never fit the takeaway cups. Sick of spending my time wiping coffee up from clothes, car etc and it being a complete mess

When I first started coming here Tulip was a great stopping off point when traveling, the coffee was always good and the cabinet food was hearty. Sadly, it's just got worse and worse and my visit this week proves that it's really gone down the gurgler. The first offputting thing was seeing one of the two behind-counter staff sneezing and coughing and not bothering to wash her hands. This is the SECOND time I've encountered this at Tulip. Then when this employee delivered my coffee, I could see that her hands looked filthy. When my heated food arrived it was cold in the middle, and the coffee tasted like it was roasted a decade ago. I noticed how dirty the men's toilets looked a few years back and this time they were closed altogether, forcing me to use the female toilet. I don't know why they don't just put a sign up that says 'Unisex'. It's sad when a reliably good place gets run down but that's what's happened here. It's a convenient stop-off point but I won't be back.

Wonderful time here for a quick bite while passing through. Staff was very friendly and took great care of us. Some of our group ordered off of the menu and others grabbed delicious food from the case. A very nice little cafe, would recommend!

Cute little Cafe in the main centre of Maungaturoto. Friendly staff. Yummy coffees and ice shakes. Good selection of sandwiches, pastries and pies. Pies could do with major improvements.

Used to love stopping here on the way home but last 2 or 3 times the service has been extremely slow unfortunately & not much food left. They do have the best ever caramel slices that I have eaten in NZ!
