Skyline Rotorua

3rd time here but first time for the night rides kids enjoyed it thankfully we arrived just after 5pm to start the rides when it was quiet by 730pm the lines were out the gate !! One thing I would recommend if you are going at night is too cover yourself going back up or have mozzie repellent as kids got bitten on the ride back after the luge apart from that will never get sick of this place :)

Skyline in Rotorua Night Rides is sure an amazing experience. The view from the Chair Lifts back to the top is amazing. They have 5-6 Tracks that sure are fun. If your child is 85cm they can ride with you in the luge, preschooler have unlimited tandem rides (luge rides) which is just $6.00 for them. Also don't forget to collect your photos by scanning your helmet. Always good to take those memories home. They can be printed or sent to your email. Also when you get to the bottom you can also purchase your photos that you take before heading to the top on the gondola. Fun experience for the family. Just be mindful that it is the winter so take extra warm clothes. Check their website for more details.

We found the staff better at Queenstown, they seemed slow here and the luge staff were not as safety conscious. Having said that, there are 3 main luge tracks, one of them splits into three for part of the journey, so there is more variety.

Went up for lunch at Stratosphere for our sons 9th birthday with family. Everyone was very accommodating right from reservation team to customer service at the restaurant. Even puting his birthday cake in the fridge and bringing it out for us when it was time. It was a miserable wet day so we didnt do the luge but will be back when fine. Jellybelly shop was very tempting and entertaining.

A great experience for both kids and adults. We did Luge and Swing activities. Luge was fun for both kids and Adults. Small kids can sit with parent and kids above 6 can do independently. However for swing I would not suggest it for kids until they are very sure to do that. But yes all together a nice experience. Gandola ride gives you some nice views .

Luge rides, Luge rides, Luge rides. What a fun , enjoyed a lot. This is must place to go for fun , easily 3-4 hours will get spent. Incredible views from top.

Lovely place to have fun and enjoy with your family and friends.Lot of free parking. There are season ticket for Gondola.

Amazing day out although we went on a Long weekend. The waits were at least an hour long for the carts, 45 minutes for the swings and even a half hour to get in the gondolas to go up the mountain. I would hope that off season/weekdays the waiting time would be far shorter.

Take the cable car up to the mountain, it's an absolute must see around Rotorua... Checkout the photos, it's stunning!

My first trip to rotorua. One day is not enough to explore. So, was not able to explore much but skyline which was fun. I took zoom Zipline package (zipline, gandola and 3 luge rides for $113). It's pricey though it was fun as well. They do provide enough instructions before each ride. Staffs were kind and helpful. Their are not much food options there. Market kitchen cafe it was toooo pricey and food was less than average NOT recommended. If you want good food go to city market area near lakeside but its far though.
