Its been nearly a year since my boy arrived and finally I can write this without full on emotions. Had Linda as my main, back up was Helen. Linda while nice was just fine, I found online support and the parenting class much more useful with information. Ended up having Helen during my labour - worst thing ever since I barely knew her and the one session I had pre-labour with her she was short with me and just not nice. Not helpful when I was a first time mother. Didn't deserve a lecture mid labour about not using the gas so much. We asked for the hospital midwife who was so much nicer and don't know why Helen didn't leave but she stayed throughout. I was in so much pain that I didn't fight it. BIGGEST REGRET OF MY LIFE. Having Helen made my first birth the worst experience. Two star rating only because Linda wasn't bad.

I had Linda as my midwife, although she supported me throughout my pregnancy I ended up having Helen (back up midwife) at my labour. She is the worst. Long story short, it was like she didn’t want to be there, she kept pushing for me to have a c-section even though both me and baby were fine. I ended up having a Vbac, baby was healthy and we were both fine. The hospital midwives were so supportive. Helen didn’t even stay she left while I was in active labour. When I gave birth the hospital midwives called her but she didn’t come back to check on me and baby. I find her so rude.

Very verb bad experience. I am giving 1 rating just because of Linda, otherwise Helen don’t even deserve 0. Helen was very rude lady, she swear on us in front of the hospital staff. At the time of the delivery, Linda was on holiday, so unfortunately Helen has to look after for delivery but during labor pain, Helen told us, you are not my client, you are Linda’s client so I am not going to look after you. At the end, Linda manage to turn on her day off and did everything. Thanks to her.While leaving from the hospital, Helen again came to us, and shouted on us by putting her finger on our face and swear in front of the hospital staff. We definitely make a complaint against her. Please think twice before going to them. Helen has no manners and not good for your new born babies.

Friendly, professional, diligent, kind and experienced MidwivesLinda Norman was my midwife, all appointments, referrals, prescriptions were accurate and punctual.I really appreciated the kindness and professionalism as I visited for my appointments during pregnancy as a first time mother.I was well informed, looked after and listened to as I asked many questions.Leading up to birth I was always in contact being checked, informed, I knew I was heading to hospital at the right time and was able to have the epidural. Linda was very professional in the labor room, with all the medical equipment and notes taking.there are a lot of steps I didn't know of, but Linda really makes sure all medical processes are ticked, and monitoring machinery set up. This meant everything for the safe arrival of my baby,My baby arrived and we were both are well and fine, and I was able to feel safe, relaxed and taken care of.I also met Helen the other midwife 3 times, also very helpful, professional as she did a pregnancy check, one pre labor, and a home visit. Very appreciated,My journey now is settling in as a mum. I am still being taken care of with check ups for myself and baby.This is a message of appreciation and I am very grateful for safety and care for me and my son for the past 9 months.Jasmine Burt
