Thorold Country House
Wendy and Gary met us we arrived after a long cycle taking our bikes for us then Wendy spoiled us by bringing us tea for two out near the pool. They offer service of driving you into Thames if you want to get dinner there. Beautiful assortment of breakfast choices and the room we had been given had everything we could ask for.Such attention to detail.These people really know how to make your stay special.

Thorold Country House
Comfortable, quiet rooms with a homey feel, though still professionally maintained. Hosts are wonderful; we had delightful conversations over the very nice cooked breakfasts. Hosts also very helpful with excellent suggestions about places to see, directions, recommendations for dinner. We'd stay here again if returning to the area. It's a good jumping off point for Coromandel Peninsula and within an hour or so drive of Auckland.
