Good spot in the centre. Busy and filled up quick. Horrible eggy smell because of the spa opposite, so wouldn’t stay for more than one night.

Park full with a number of cars and small vans. Cramped. Went to the NZMC park at Ngongotaha. Much more room and only for $5.oo much safer and quieter

It’s the very place for freedom campers in the middle of Rotorua. Nearby every thing. Parking available even in in late afternoon. The best spot to relax.

Great spot so close to city centre.BUSY so first in first served (I reckon you’re good for a spot to arrive when people are leaving at 8/9 in the morning or midday/early afternoon). The strong smell of sulphur was actually kinda nice to me ahah.Toilets are located at the bowls club a short walk away.Definitely lucky that this one exists in such a safe and well cared for environment.

Great location in the centre of town but everyone knows this and it's usually absolutely full at about 1600. Only parking for self contained. No water or dump station etc. Very busy. Get there early if you want a space. The rest of town is pretty much a short walk away. The lake itself is close as well and worth seeing.

Get in early if you want something in the centre of town because this is one of very few free camp spots in Rotorua & there are only 16 spaces. The public toilets are a 2min walk away through a park which can be a bit unnerving if its dark, but not a huge deal. Note: they are closed overnight. One thing I appreciated about staying here was the police coming by to check on things.

Good for the night, But quickly full. Got there a bit late and only one space left. Close to a nice park and nice walk to the lake. Smell is not a problem, if it's bothering you don't even stop in Rotorua.. Also it was surprisingly quiet which was a good thing.

Freedom camping yes though only around 12 spots so quite likely it's full. You can't park anywhere else nearby only in the designated spots.

Plenty of parks when we arrived at 3pmVery narrow parks, public toilet is a good 5min walk, so dont leave it too late!

It’s close to cbd, lovely quiet (the 24/7 water fountain behind the campervan parking site didn’t bother me in the slightest) place to park up for a night and it’s Free. Thanks Rotorua City Council
