After eating here for lunch and had the best tortilla soup ever, I decided to come again with my wife. The service was great and friendly, and the desserts were well priced and delicious.We were disappointed by the mains. We both had two different tortilla based mains, both with chicken, and found the portions too small, could hardly identify any chicken, and it lacked flavour.

Really liked it. Authentic vibe. Actual Mexican server and chefs. Bit of communication between them in Spanish. Guacamole was awesome. So much so that I didn't get a photo - too busy munching. Enjoyed a jug of Margarita. Nice! Mains were good. Very filling. Tables were a bit close together for me, but that was my personal preference. Decor was great, as was service.

Amazing Lemon Meringue pie at Vivo Mexico, the texture and taste are heavenly won’t be disappointed, I highly recommend.Beautiful people and culture, love the aesthetic of the restaurant. Was great to meet the staff/owner and his loves for the Māori people /culture

Amazing authentic Mexican food, plus the atmosphere is incredible.The meals here are so tasty and remind me so much of meals I had on my honeymoon in Mexico. I was honestly impressed and really enjoyed my meal.

Great food and service. Food is very authentic and the mole and pickled cactus are to die for. Lot of options for gluten free and vegan/vegetarian.

This place is beautiful, the kind of environment that nurtures the soul with delicious food and excellent service. My margarita on the rocks was amazing. This ii the best Mexican food I have had in Wellington.The only negative was not being able to hear your companion/s well not because there was loud music, just the noise of people talking in a busy restaurant. We will become regular diners there.

Divine! I love Mexican food and miss it terribly, so I was so excited to notice this place while in Petone. I immediately planned a birthday trip and wasn't disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is so tasty! It's cozy and the Day of the Dead decor suits. Get a pitcher of Margaritas (I'd suggest on the rocks) - great value and perfect for 2. The desserts fly out, but we only tried the flan- heavenly!

Great tasting food, very mild levels of spice. Had a range of different styles as well, variety is always appreciated. I ordered the ground beef but it looked and tasted like pulled pork. No issue here, I enjoy both but it might be for others.Not specifically a restaurant issue but after trying several times on two different nights I couldn't get a car park anywhere near and had to go back to my motel and order via Uber Eats.
