Karleto's Barbershop

Went in early this morning for the first time and couldn't be happier with my cut. My barbers name I didn't catch but was very professional and done my skin fade perfectly!As I was leaving the place was full, which is a good sign that these guys are good.Will definitely be back.

Had a beard trim.Barber missed a section of beard under my chin, leaving it twice as long as the rest of the section but was brushed flat so wasn't visible in the mirror. Upon getting home I discovered that my two cheeks were also not aligned in shape or height. My left line is flat, my right cheek is curved and drops significantly lower. I asked for my moustache to be taken off my lips but to still keep the end tips of the moustache. Only the hair directly underneath my nose was trimmed to above my lips, the rest of the moustache was untrimmed but brushed sideways.With the seat distance from the mirror, it looked fine. It was only when I left and looked closely that I realised the cheeks were misaligned. The rest was only visible upon close inspection/touching my beard as the day went by.I understand I could go back and ask for a fix up, but given the number of issues from this beard trim, I don't think it's worth the risk.Barber also wasn't wearing his mask properly with his nose exposed.

I’ve come here for years now and they’re always cutting my hair to short and can’t even cut my hair with a picture reference

They are very friendly...i always cut my hair in this shop.i'll be there again later or maybe tommorrow..

Less than average customer experience. Tried twice to get a haircut here. 1st time I was turned away due to the guy needing a break, came back 1/2 hr later and waited in line as you do at these types of walk in barber shops. 2 more customers came in after me, when it was my turn I was told I had to wait till after the other customers. Is this what we have come to expect for customer service in NZ.

Nothing but a great experience, Safa I believe his name was is an awesome barber, has great yarns and my cut was on point, honestly highly recommend this guy.I had 2 of my other friends come to him beforehand who had referred me to Safa.Hands down will deffs be coming back and also letting my other friends and family know to come here despite the distance from the city.Can’t express how happy I was with the service, thank you.

Usually a great cut, but last week the guy (not my regular barber there) did a very poor cut with no blending for different hair length and big chunks taken out. Really not happy and now just waiting for it to grow out. Bring back the regular barber please!Updated comment: To be clear this was the Island Bay Karleto's Barbershop, not the Strathmore one and it was probably at best, a 3 star cut. So friendly. Reasonable price. Very much satisfied with his service.

I travel all the way from Greytown to get my haircut here - that's how good they are.
