Inspiring Minds Montessori Preschool

My daughter had an amazing time at this school, she learned a lot and was ready to hit the ground running when she started primary school. I would recommend them wholeheartedly!

We visited all Montessori options in Palmy before choosing Inspiring minds. My son had been in both Montessori and daycare in Wellington so we had prior experience with early childhood options. I genuinely feel like we struck gold moving to Palmerston North and then finding Inspiring Minds. Rihanna leads a caring, nurturing, compassionate team who offer a balanced approach to learning and life. They are all beautiful souls who lead with patience, wisdom and fun. They look to first understand each child's unique attributes and then support the individual whatever that might look like. The ladies lead by example and collaborate. We could not have asked any more of them than what they have give so freely and I consider them all part of our village.

We loved everything at Inspiring Minds Montessori. We know our boy is happy when he always asked if he’s going to school (Montessori) today. They have a wonderful team of teachers who looked after the children beautifully. Gave our boy the confidence and security he needed. Highly recommended!

Our son spent two years at Inspring Minds Montessori Preschool. He learnt a lot during his time there, and made a lot of great friends. He always came home with a happy face. The teachers there are fantastic. They are all really professional, and easy to cooperate with. They are always happy to communicate with parents if we have some concerns. During the time there, teachers taught my son some basic writing and reading skill without pushing him. He only learnt them from playing. When he started primary school, I was surprised at how easily he picked up reading and writing because he already had the basics from Inspring Minds Montessori. He also learnt how to be kind and help other younger kids. At the montessori, kids are helping each other. They are just like a big family.We highly recommend!!

Easily one of the top ECE centres in the Manawatu-Whanganui region. Top quality teachers with a wealth of domestic and international experience. My daughter enjoyed herself so much and has grown so much more confident and curious. I'm already making arrangements to put my son in Inspiring Minds when he is old enough.

Enrolling our child in Inspiring minds Montesorri was the best choice We made. They helped my child build a good foundation for both her educational and social growth. The teachers are nurturing and always approachable. My child loved her time at Montesorri and we were both very sad to leave for ‘big school’. Thank you very much taking care of our baby.

Attended this daycare for over 4 months period.I have discovered quite a few non-compliance issues, such as inadequate communication between staff and parents when my son came back home with scratches sometimes; no accident form was filled out, I have to follow up with the manager by email or face to face, every time they give me same answer: unaware of anything happened; never informed me where to access their recent Education Review Office report etc.In the last two weeks of attending, I noticed that my son's temper was getting worse when came back home in the afternoon. I then asked him what happened at daycare, he expressed that he did not want to attend anymore as the teachers consistently told him off when he got punched by other boys (no communication regarding this from the teachers to me); the manager also once locked my son in her office because my son refused to listen to her.When I expressed my concern with the manager in morning drop off, at first, she was very inpatient towards me and showed that she was busy and did not want to talk; I showed I was very unhappy and then she informed me no one was aware of any of these issues but will investigate; I have to formally express my concern in writing to get some of her attention in the end.On the last day of attending, things were getting worse. My son hurt his own hand (for the first time, I wish could also be the last time) by using a pencil to ease his frustration; he did not say a word to any of the teachers. This clearly showed that he did not trust anyone at the time of the incident; all staff failed to build relationship and trust with my son; he felt helpless and scared to express his frustration at the time, but to hurt himself.He told me the reason why he felt frustrated when I came to pick him up, and the manager tried to argue that my son did not know what he was doing by avoid paying any responsibilities in her email response. He was 4 years old, knew how to handle pencil safely; or why you ask him to use a pencil in the first place, if you truly believe my son lack of intelligence to use a pencil safely?At the very least, you failed to meet basic obligation as a State registered ECE centre - Duty of Care.Formal complaint was submitted to Ministry of Education.
