Drafters Bar & Restaurant
Came in a couple of weekends back for a drink, about 9pm. It was lame. Absolutely no atmosphere, all lights were on brightly and they had what I can only describe as the breeze radio station playing quietly from the back of the bar. We ended up leaving and going up the road. Not really what I was hoping to see on a saturday night.

This is the rating in advance. We are starting a tour through all our local restaurants! These guys are going to be the next one! A few friends of us have been here and absolutely love it. So, we’ve decided to start from the top rating place first! See you in a couple of weeks time (the rating will be updated based on the real feedback. Watch the space. I had a great time today. Nice beer selection and enjoyed the garlic bread and crisp chicken. I have two minor observations to make. One is to let the customer finish their food and don't rush them. The other one is to perhaps have a second pay station so that you don't have to wait for a while.

My husband ordered the fish of the day (salmon), it was tasty and the meal presentation was nice. I ordered two entrances: classic aioli chips and shrimp fritters, which was also really good. They were fully booked but there was a table available for the next two hours, the staff offered it for us, which suited us well. This kind of attention makes the experience even better, you can notice that they care about their customers and want their customers to have a good experience not only by eating their food, but these small details as well. We appreciated it. Will definitely return with friends.

Good range of beers, probs the best wine list I’ve seen in Rolleston. Lovely service, they remembered us from the last time we were in (so important for a local) and well behaved kid friendly.The space could use some second hand couches or something to improve on the atmosphere and unlike the reviewer below I’d say get rid of the screens completely ( I realise I’d be in the minority here!). Looking forward to trying some food.

Amazing food and friendly staff. Can't recommend their cocktails and alcoholic lemonade enough. Lots pf vegetarian options as well. My personal favourite was jollof fried chicken. We will be back 100% for a feed.

A delectable cocktail & scrumptious hot chips & jalapeno cheesy garlic bread was appreciated on my first visit to this venue. An open & airy pub with soft background music meant our group could chatter & enjoy the moment. It's a 4 out of 5 stars as it got crowded later in the evening & people were bumping into one another to get to their tables. However it highlights the popularity of the venue.

Fist time here. Had the Lamb Rump and Panacotta This would be the best meal any where in Rolleston by far. Could do with another dessert added to menu. But overall Fantastic.

It's always nice going out and having a meal a notch or two above what you prepare yourself at home. My husband had the Lamb Rack and I had the Pig Belly both well cooked, well presented, tasty dishes. Will definitely be back.
