Food was yummy. Waited for a but while still cooking but worth the wait.

Sharing my experience 1st time trying the lu wth lamb all i got was bones. Pineapple pie pastry was not cooked. The otai was warm would of been nice if it was cold as it was a hot day. Sadly the next day woke up with a very sore stomach vomitting and diarrhoea unpleasant day for me.

Awesome island food. Deeliiish....Had the chop suey and potatoes salad. Tasted the BBQ pork belly, and surimi salad. Everything was on point.Ended it all off with a mango otai...and I don't like mango. Refreshing and healthy, and totes quenches your thirst.Friendly and welcoming service, particularly as there were only 2 of them. Job well done! Malo lava!We will definitely be back.

Like others and I have eaten the lu as well, filled with fat and bones with hardly any meat. They hardly have taro or banana available and prices are outrageous. If they were competing in South Auckland with their menu, they would have been out of business. Quite frankly, I don't understand why they still are in business. Really disappointed with this island food shop and it's the only one in Hamilton. Maybe they need competition to up their standards? Have also done their Uber, they have sent food that I didn't order to make up for what they didn't have, instead of letting me know or giving me the option to decide whether I wanted the food or my money back. The only good experience was the first time I bought from there, when it first opened.

Open hours on their door states 10am. Went there at 1045 and it was still closed. We see them setting up shop but still ignored us, no customer service to inform us of what is happening, they just awkwardly stare at us. Also prices are crazy. Am happy to support this business but this is just ridiculous.1 small lamb is $8 yet it is 60% fat.

It was my first decent island food and it was yummy. If I leave the place very happy and full then that's it for me. 5 star! I had their pork belly bbq, surimi salad, potato salad and chopsuey. I unfortunately wasn't able to take some photos as i was digging into it as soon as we sat down and it was all yummy and scrumptious. To end my beautiful lunch, I had a Mango Otai and it was the bomb.

Love this place. They might not always have all their food ready by time they open but it's worth the wait. Try the keke". It's like a donut and a fry bread had a baby."
