The Chalets at Okurukuru

Fantastic! Great place to get away from it all. Awesome ocean views, nice rooms with a good layout and complemented by Okurukuru winery/restaurant.Excellent for a short stay away, we would definitely love to come again.

cannot recommend this place at all. The place is large and the view is great. The bed are two twins pushed together so if your like me and sleep in the middle its a problem. The tv worked for about five minutes the dish decided it needed a update from a usb. Since it didnt get it it powered down and never came back. Went up to the cellar door no one there even though the restaurant says open until late. Guess late means 5pm. So not a lot to do without the tv so drank the bottle of wine they gave me. They are building a few more chalets but i would say stop and get the two they have run properly.

Awesome food. Yellow fin tuna entry was amazing as well as the king prawns. Highly recommend them. Also the Beef Bourguignon so soft and the smokey flavor combined with the rest of the amazing flavors is just wow. The rib eye steak was really good. Great quality beef and awesome salad. Awesome staff and awesome views. Thank-you Okurukuru.

Beautiful accommodation. The sea views from the chalets really is amazing and could be enjoyed on stormy days from the comfort of the lounge as well.You are high enough to be safe from a tsunami and close enough to hear the waves breaking on the rocks below at night if you leave your slider for open.The double shower down stairs is pure luxury.Communication with the owners is very very straight forward. I highly recommend this place.

Huge rooms and really comfy beds and pillows. Fantastic views out over the Tasman Sea. and vineyard.Exceptional privacy.

Amazing property. Close to the town yet so close to the nature. The clif front chalets give you the best sea view. Would come back again.

Great food, ocean views, friendly staff our food arrived very quickly which was appreciated when dining with young children. On the spendy end but not disappointed, good for special occasions or if you're rich.

Breakfast provided not up to standard for a luxury chalet.Lots of blowflys from cow paddock below.Sparce kitchen equipment.Down stairs bedroom & bathroom excellent.Poor wifi & mobile coverage.
