Good sized servings of the food,would have liked more flavour however. Very warm inside and no air conditioning. High chairs available

I bypassed Wellsford due to the festive holiday traffic queues. This place had ample parking well off the road and good access back onto the road.I ordered a medium spicy butter paneer with a tandoori roti and a lassi (it was a hot day).The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The meal was the best I'd tasted since I was last in India! An absolutely smooth and creamy blend of taste and texture yet with the kick that I enjoy from spicy Indian food. The roti was quartered and it was the size of a brake rotor. The smooth lassi kept me cool too - I bought two in the end.First class! I'll be back!

Delicious! The kids loved the naan, rice and poppadoms, and I loved the palak paneer and chicken tikka masala, so good!

They need to increase the quantity of food for the price you pay. Too expensive for the area and for the amount of food you get. Small meals for high prices. No good

We stopped off here on our way up north not expecting much. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was quick to arrive and exceeded our expectations. Having travelled through India and eating and cooking Indian food weekly the spice lounge far exceeded my expectations for a small town side of the road restaurant. Will visit again. We had the onion bhaji, chicken piaza do and saag paneer with garlic Naan.

Unexpected touch of class & huge portions - the starter filled me up and I still had the main to go! The sauces were lusciously thick and not watery like elsewhere. We always stop here for dinner on our way north now!

Great choice of curries, warm & friendly service. I got take out & didn't have to wait long.The Garlic Naan bread was spectacular with heaps of garlic - just the way I like it. The portions were excellent & all served with rice.I had the Saagwala & Kadahi Chicken curries.....yuuuum. The restaurant & bathroom were clean & tidy albeit the dated decor, but in some ways that just kind of adds to the Kaiwaka experience.The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the chicken was a bit dry.

Great Indian Restaurant at such a convenient place from the motorway. Lamb balti is a hidden gem here. Do try. Great customer service as well.

We stopped here for dinner after a day in the Bay of Islands. We ordered the palak paneer and aloo matar. The meal came with rice and I ordered garlic naan to go with it. Both dishes were prepared with medium spice and were perfect! The meal really big the spot after a day of adventure.
