James took time prior to the wedding to get to know my wife and I and ensure he was able to provide an incredible addition to our amazing wedding. James was a brilliant choice as DJ for our wedding! He was organized and detail oriented in the lead up to the wedding, and ensured that the dance floor was full for the entire night! His selection of music suited everyone in the room, from age 23 to age 90! Highly recommend!!

James (HighKings) has played many times at our bar in Auckland and always knocked it out of the park. His understanding of how to read the room (tied to his huge library of music) is a winning combination and we've had nothing but great feedback on his sets. Highly recommended.

James was absolutely fantastic as our DJ at our wedding. He was really easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding, and on the night he had every guest dancing the night away until the evening was over. We had so much fun dancing to his amazing playlist, and our guests loved the music he chose! Would absolutely recommend James to anyway needing a wedding DJ!

We had Highkings/James at our wedding in late December and can't recommend him enough. A DJ is so key to setting the vibe of a wedding and we were glad to lock him in. Weddings can be stressful but it was nice to have the music side of it sorted.

James was great from the first point of contact to our wedding evening-even afterwards. He really went above and beyond helping with a song I wanted slightly altered. Exceptional service and all of our guests really enjoyed the musicians the way James helped our evening flow! Definitely recommend and will use again for the next big event!

James/HighKings is a top DJ, in a range of settings. I've seen him at weddings, bars & clubs... Highly recommended for an event where you need a special sound and atmosphere. Quite dynamic and aware of his audience and will evolve a set to keep people smiling.

We were lucky enough to have James DJ our wedding in February.The main goal for our wedding was to have a relaxed day where everyone could have fun, with a bit more of a party towards the end of the night.Having James as our DJ enabled this to happen. His approach was very thorough, asking about the type of music we were into and making sure we were on the same page for how things would work on the day.His ability to read what music people were into was second to none - I feel so happy that the dance floor was well utilised all throughout the night!James played such a massive part in making our day run perfectly, we can’t thank him enough.We highly recommend using James for your event - you will not regret it! ☺️
