Lidgard Shades: Outdoor Shade Systems

Great service. They did some maintenance on my 8 year old blinds which then had an issue with the wind. But they came straight back at no extra cost, fixed them up and reinforced them all to make them all stronger than before. Had some very strong winds after that and the blinds handled it really well. Recommended.

Company provided our Zip Track blinds and couldn't be happier with the result. Very well organised, great communication, helpful and knowledgeable, and competitive price. Design recommendations were spot on. Even went the extra mile under tricky Covid restrictions. Highly recommended.

Just had a new genoa made for my Rustler 36 and it looks great. Grant was fantastic to deal with. His knowledge and willingness to help made the difference. He also had a look at all my current older sails on the boat and offered his advice with each of them. Will definitely be ordering any sails I need in the future from these guys, highly recommend them!

This review is for 2 different areas at our house.JOB #15+ years ago we found on TradeMe a person making drop down clear vinyl blinds for our deck. At first they were great (blocked the wind), however they had massive short-comings... endless noise when there was the slightest breeze, quickly started turning milky colour in patches, painful to bring down or up etc. i.e. we paid for what we got!We decided that it was time to turn to the professionals! We got a couple of quotes from Lidgard and others. Lidgard's team was extremely professional. They had multiple options for us to consider that saved money, but not quality.Communication with them was regular as our project moved thru their factory and then scheduled for install. The boys who installed were polite, tidied up afterwards and WOW - what a beautiful job. Here are a couple of photos of them installing, and then a couple of photos of my very happy wife out in our patio area with 3 sides of the glide up and down solution from Lidgard. We love how they have colour matched the alumium housing and trims etc. The blinds are in tracks and very easy to slide up and down with ease. We wanted two solutions - a shade cloth, plus rollup clear blinds on 3 slides. Ligard quoted again for the shade cloth along with two competitors. All 3 turned up on site and asked questions and showed samples etc.However Gary from Ligard really went into the detail about the stitching, reinforcing, and design of their sails. Pointed out how it made a big difference for longterm life of the shade. His price was also competitive. The boys came in and installed quickly efficiently and left...That following weekend daughter threw a party where some of the lads ended up bouncing on the top of the shade cloth! Due to (1) high quality materials used, (2) high quality and chunky stainless steel fittings + the grace of God, no damage or stretching occurred.The shade cloth makes a big difference at night, shades the sun during the day, but doesn't block the light completely.JOB #3The nor-west wind can rip into our backyard... and so once again we got Ligard and their competitors back to quote on rollup and cafe-style clear blinds. Once again their attention to detail was fantastic. Price was competitive and now we have a mix of cafe-style and rollup blinds in our entertainment area out the back. Lovely and snuggly and warm without that wind...Following photos show the grey shade cloth bridging between the house and the entertainment area, along with the crystal clear cafe-style and rollup blinds. Once again we had the blinds put in tracks and are very easy to slide up and down with ease.If you are considering cafe-style blinds, rollup clear blinds, awnings, or shade sails, you must contact Lidgard Shades. Definitely professional and competitive. Remember our first experience with their competition - you always get what you pay for...

Over the years Lidgards has made 8 sails, a stackpack, and a set of jackstays for us. They always provide quality and efficient service. Highly recommended.

It has been a year since Lidgard had installed our new awning. I must appologise for the late posting but now after a year of use, I must confirm that the installation has transformed our lives for the better. Having glass on most of our north facing home, it has made such a difference in the internal tempreture of our house. Now cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Justin and his team are a pleasure to deal with and I highly recomment this company

Grant from Lidgard really knows his stuff.Came down to the Mooring and measured up my Townson 34 for a new No2 Roller furler...asked lots of questions about the boats current sail locker inventory to confirm the best fit.Sail was made in time and is of excellent quality.Lidgard were competitive with overseas sailmaker options and I liked the idea of supported a local loft where they actually make the sail in NZ.Would definitely buy another sail from them and have alterations made.In fact I sent off my old No2 which they cut down as a back up.Great company- thanks Five stars!

Great professional team. They installed a remote controlled blind for my glass roof. I have asked around but no one can do the job as it is oversized and very difficult site conditions. Adam and his colleagues did a great job, just as what I expected. Highly recommended!

I can't recommend Adam and his team at Lidgard highly enough. From the first day of meeting with Adam to assess what we needed to the final installation of the exterior blind on the deck, the whole process was smooth. I had some changes of mind along the way and Adam dealt with my queries with great advice and great patience. The Lidgard installation team were terrific on the day, thoroughly professional. The blind is perfect - even better than we hoped. We love it. A big thank you to Adam and all at Lidgard for a great job from start to finish.

Lidgard were fantastic from start to finish. We had a large permanent framed structure designed and built, and then blinds fitted afterwards. We appreciated them listening to what we wanted and not having something 'sold' to us. They managed to meet all of our needs and within a reasonable budget too. Communication, workmanship, and the professionalism of all their staff was outstanding. Would and will definitely recommend to others.Dawn
