Havelock Motel

Room was very good and clean. One problem was the tv was a bit low to look at from the bed. Needs to be placed a bit higher. Shower was really great except for the door handle, thought i was in there for the morning. All in all was a nice relaxed stay.

The pool was great but it was very hot when we stayed and there was no way to cool down the unit. We had all the windows open and where eaten alive by mosquitoes. We also were next to the pub and it was a little noisy. Don't think we'll stay there again.

Place is old and needs a bit of love, we had a hard bed and really soft pillows. We were there for only one night. On the positive side, the only shower in the world I have had to turn the pressure down own, it so powerful you didnt need soap, it blasted any dirt off you :-)

Good and bad things about this place. Lovely comfortable place and the swimming pool was great. Staff very helpful and obliging . . . BUT!!When we called to make a booking I explained that we were 3 adults looking for 2 sleeping spaces. Got told that no 2 bedroom units were available so would have to settle for 3 luxury spa units at $150 each per night. When I asked if the units only accommodated 1 person each I managed to get through that we were a married couple with an extra family adult travelling with us. OK. So only needed two units because units only accommodate maximum of 2 people. Very expensive but had no option we felt.The day we checked out we discovered that both units we occupied had couches that fold out to a decent size bed. Using that for the solo traveller was never suggested as an option and it would have suited us perfectly.We never used any of the luxury" features of either unit so felt we were somewhat ripped off. We will certainly explore other options if we stop in Havelock again."

Such a relaxing spot, the mineral heated swimming pool was so relaxing and very clean. Didn’t realise how big the property is. The rooms were really well appointed, roomy and quiet. Great location, close to marina, restaurants, bakery, and tours. Look forward to coming back!

Staff very friendly. Rooms clean and tidy. Beds conformable. Great swimming pool.Only fault I can see is lack of power points in room. Apart from that it's a great place to stay. Would definitely come back.

The room was clean and functional but sadly noisy because of other guests and road noise. The balcony light was outside our room so it lit the room and we had no way of switching it off.

Extremely clean and high quality room, with very nice bathroom, for a very reasonable price. If we pass through here again we will definitely stay here. The hot tub was nice too.Highly recommended! Thanks!

We got caught in Havelock with the Marlborough floods. Isolated there and all roads closed and nowhere to stay we arrived without a booking. Penny went the extra mile to ensure that we were able to stay the night and wait out the storm. The rooms were exceptional and we were warm and dry. Her service was excellent and I would definitely recommend a stay to anyone. Thanks again Penny very much appreciated.
