Wicked views and nicely maintained path. Comfy little benches with wind breaks are staggered along the river so you can sit in comfort while casting your line. Very impressed to see wheelchair access here and a wheelchair fishing platform ♿When the river is running clear, there certainly are plenty of Kawhai to be caught!

Really cool place haven't actually fished from there,but always see many people who are and the few I've spoken to seem to be happy with their catch. so fishing must be good there. lovely walk or bike to kaiapio along the stock bank. beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife to admire as you go.

So good scenic place we are planning to fish here on coming Sunday let's see I have heard that you can catch salmon here but you need license for that. Overall a beautiful place to go for a short trip

Nice place to go fishing but a lot of people taking undersized fish and leaving them to die on the side, rather than putting them back in the water. Too soon it will be fished out.

Under some maintenance but will look amazing in no time. Fun fact its got the only official handicap fishing spot in NZ.
