I have been a customer of Mecca for over 5 years. I usually shop at Newmarket or Queen Street. But as I live in Ponsonby and I needed to buy a few things I went there. It would be great to teach staff to say hello and you’re welcome. Nobody even came to check if I needed some help, I had to ask, and when I approached the front desk the person didn’t even care about myself standing there. It doesn’t matter I thanked and didn’t get any answer back.

The staff at Mecca are incredible. No ageism" here. They cater for every client with respect and kindness. The products are well curated. Mecca and their staff take the hard work out choosing the right product. Not just another "make up counter". I was amazed at the difference a few really good products carefully matched to my skin made. I am a complete Mecca convert❣️"

Honestly love Mecca and most of the products that I’ve sampled, but I’ve found this store has the best customer service. Zoe helped me find some new hydrating moisturiser and recommended some facial masks as well as offered samples of another product. Thanks :)

I suspect the customer service training at this store goes something along the lines of ignore anyone who comes into the store and make them wait as long as possible".I've been to this Mecca three times now and this has happened each time. I only go here cos it's easier than the Commercial Bay one - fantastic customer service there."

Love Mecca get all my makeup from here, the staff are always lovely and helpful when I visit, my only gripe w this location is the small range of brands they stock. I work and live in Ponsonby and do find it annoying to go out of my way to travel to other locations to buy some of the most popular products eg Charlotte Tilbury which I find rather odd. This branch seems to cater to a higher price products which is fine but would be good to see you switch out some brands every now and then and pull through Charlotte Tilbury, Kevin Aucoin and also wish you would have a bigger range of brushes!

Do not recommend going here if you’re a person of colour and looking for a safe space.I mentioned that I personally found the shades confronting after being given ‘PUNJAB’ and ‘FIJI’ to try. After providing this feedback, the response from the white guy was defensive, dismissive, and incredibly belittling.

Smaller store compared to the Queen Street, Newmarket and Sylvia Park one. Didn’t buy anything from here as I didn’t get what I was looking for. Although they had a nice collection of Maison Francis Kurkdjian perfumes.

Today Lucy/Lucie was extremely helpful and patient with me, working with my request and finding suitable products for me to use. Other staff members who chatted with me were also very kind and helpful. Fantastic customer service and shopping experience!

I checked out today with my friend at 12.56 and had such an easy, hassle free experience with one of your coworkers she was so lovely and upbeat as well! I didn’t catch her name and was hoping it would be on the receipt. But she threw in a nice lip balm extra for me and my friend. Great service and will definitely be back here!
