Wonderful activities, beautiful roase gardens and gardens in general.Paved walkways, free admission, wheelchair accessible. Easy access from downtown wellington bit of a walk but lovely walkabout.I would definitely recommend this for your next #gooutside #nature #takeitoffline

We have visited this Botanical Garden over the years and still regard it as one of our favourites as it just keeps getting better and better.The succulents alone a worth a look as am in awe how they grow in your climate compared to our hot and humid Brisbane, Australia.After a recent passion for shade plants, have also loved discovering the wonderful additions in the glasshouse.Wish we lived that bit closer to Windy Wellington. Wellington Botanic Garden Duck Pond
I was really excited to read that this garden has a mass display of over 30,000 tulips in the spring. Unfortunately only a few had started to bloom the day we were there 8/29/19. In another week it will be amazing. I do find that the scented garden with the unusual plantings to be the best that I have ever gone to. The paths are well paved and a very gentle slope in downward, the signage is very good along the way, so there’s no real way to get turned around.
