The Warehouse Porirua

Being accused of stealingMe and my family were shopping at the warehouse and brought many things that day. Once we finished shopping and went to the self checkout counter. We scanned all the items and I was starting to pay for the items. A staff member approached my partner as I was paying for the items and asked him if he scanned one of the items and asked if it had a barcode on it. The item did indeed have a barcode on it and we did scan it. She then walked off with no explanation as to why she asked us that question.Me and my partner were highly offended because it seemed as if the staff member was accusing us of stealing from The Warehouse in Porirua, Wellington.As angry, confused and offended as we were, we remained calm and did not want to cause a seen because we had our 2 month year old son with us.Not too sure if I want to continue shopping there in the future because Im scared the same staff member will treat me as if Im a thief.

Excellent garden centre at this store, Ange (I think her name is) looks after the plants and keeps the place tidy and well presented.

Tried to get a single page printed. Didn’t open for another 5 minutes. Totally understandable.Did it online instead. They sent it to the wrong address. Took 3 weeks to get a refund response.

1) Just went to buy a racer chair that had a sticker for $199 this then scanned up at $239 i was made to look like a thieve in front of the whole store, i then proceeded to ask why this has happened. I was then told I don't know by the security guard. I then stated I'm not happy about being humiliated and was told to make a complaint online. I asked to speak to someone in charge and was told they were busy multiple times by the same security guard.2) Last week went to get Pokémon cards for my sons birthday from the store as online it stated they were in store only. Looked around the whole store couldn't find them. Went to the customer service desk and was told that they are out the back on a pallet some where but they cant get to it. The store was 20 mins away so cost me time and money in petrol for nothing.3) They only have one staff member on the checkout and at the customer service desk. sometimes I'm waiting unto 15 mins in line just for customer service? it feels like they are way under staffed and the staff that are there just don't care about youI would say its probably worth going somewhere else where you will get better customer service for a little bit more money.

5 star review for Linda. Porirua front desk gets a 0 lolI went to the front desk with the products web link in hand and asked for help locating it. I was sent to the wrong aisle twice. I realised i was not going to get help from the front desk, so i tried to find it on my own. After looking for around 10mins i found Linda working in the aisles. She stopped what she was doing and took me straight to the product i was looking for. It was no where near the place the other 2 sent me. I couldnt find it because it was on the other side of the shop. It was great to meet a staff member that 'knows her stuff', is aware of the products and values the customer. Thank you Linda, I really appreciate your help and professionalism.

The new layout which includes the Stationery is great. Feels like a roomier store.

I've been a customer here for many years. I went in today to find it had suffered a radical makeover. You could land a 747 in the aisles now.The whole ethos of the place being packed with stuff across a wide range of products has faltered. It now feels a tad threadbare and depleted. This used to be the place where you could get what you couldn't afford in the more upmarket stores. The shelf presentation is now more upmarket but the range seems to be lacking and it's all self-serve instead of the friendly part service of yesteryear . Maybe the cargo ships haven't arrived. Will look in again nearer Xmas. I have a soft spot for the Shed but they still have to perform!

Shocking service. I went to collect a Click & Collect after receiving a notification that it was ready. The customer service lady took my details and then continued to serve other people. Had to wait for ages until another person when to retrieve the item I was collecting. Unnecessary waiting and poor organization.
