Huharua Park
Felt very safe when couple other campers as there, Very peaceful night. Don't park right next to the toilet block as loudish Humm comes from the back of the toilet block.

Beautiful open park with amazing views on the way there of the Mount. Plenty of parking, freedom camping permitted, public toilets onsite. Nice walk/bike trail and plenty of bird life.

Really nice, worth seeing before mother nature takes it all back with another cyclone

Huharua Park
Nice enough park with good views and foraging for tangerines/mandarins. Has toilets and car park. Was being sprayed as I passed through, with very poor signage that was taken down within an hour. Dogs and people were walking in the sprayed area after less than an hour.

We go there with our dog about 3 times a week. It's such a nice place with wonderful views across the water to the Mount and Matakana island. It consists of large grassy fields, avocado trees, fruit trees and beach walks. We love the natural beauty, walking trails and peace it offers.

Great open space, excellent views, and extremely dog friendly. The walk/cycleway is nice and wide, so if using the path be vigilant as family members young, old, two, or four legged, and or wheeled will be using it. Dog families must remember the areas for leads and those areas that are free range. One more thing this is a public park used by everyone so if the fur baby makes a dog nest with dogs eggs please bag it... not a nice feeling stepping on one...

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot. It's not just for a walk or a picnic, you can actually stay there overnight in a self contained campervan. There is a very nice toilet. We really enjoyed staying there and we were lucky enough to have just two other campervans with us. Highly recommended

Huharua Park
Wonderful peaceful spot for a walk with the dogs or to let the kids run wild.
