Peter and his wife (owners) are so lovely to deal with but in terms of the delivery of service, they are as only as good as the men they have. Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 tradies allocated to us were some of the most difficult, lacking in initiative, unprofessional and inconsiderate people we have ever worked with.1. Day 1, our washing machine that was in they way of the tiling work became a huge source of drama. Neither of the two wanted to help us solve the problem or give us time to think about some workaround at least (i.e. help us carry the washing machine out). They decided to leave resulting in delays for the work. In the end, my husband and myself (all 5 feet 2 of me) were able to move the washing machine ourselves which took all of 20 min.2 . Day 2, they came back after a few days after the lockdown was lifted. One of the guys in particular was extremely rough and was rushing to get from point A to point B in our small house. I knew it was trouble waiting to happen so I tapped him on the shoulder and asked him to be careful. Not surprisingly, he hit our ceiling leaving a dent. I called Peter to talk to his men. Peter came by shortly to speak to them in chinese, telling them that they need to be careful. As soon as Peter leaves, I was met with big sighs, loud enough so they can express their unhappiness.3. Day 3 The same rough guy decided that he can play really loud chinese music inside my house without really considering the fact that I work from home and my office is adjacent to the kitchen they are working on. I am unsure also, but for our house reno, I had to work with a pool guy, a plumber, sparkies, uplifters / demo guys, kitchen builder, benchtop tradies...none of them played very loud music or eat in my dining table, not that I would have said no but this same guy did not even bother to ask for my permission. He seemed to have decided that he can do however he pleases.4. Last day, the workmanship was generally okay but the hubby and I found a scratch (which upset me so badly because I knew who has done it, but this was fixed for free by our kitchen builder), and messy leftover adhesive in the newly installed kitchen. The tiles were also slightly wonky. We raised the last issue with the supervisor, Marty. They were able to not make the wonkiness so obvious with silicone, but between the tradie and Marty, phone conversations in chinese were overheard calling us 'ma fan' or very difficult. I don't think they knew we could understand a little bit of chinese. There's a saying, for every problem
